GoRigIt is a revolutionary new case that connects your GoPro to your iPhone, enabling you to get the right shot the first time.
Ever been out filming with your GoPro just to get home and find that you never got that perfect shot? Getting an external viewing screen is an option, but that’s just one more thing to carry around – not to mention their price or the way they drain your battery. So why not combine two great products that you probably already carry around?
With the GoRigIt case, your iPhone and GoPro become one. We’ve made a way for you to see what you’re shooting, ensuring you’re getting the shots you want without hindering any of the functions of your iPhone!
The GoRigIt case protects your iPhone so that it can go almost anywhere you would want to take your GoPro! Don’t worry about dropping your iPhone, getting it wet, or splashing some mud on it – our case is designed to protect! Anywhere your GoPro can go, your iPhone should be able to go too.
Not only can you connect your GoPro to the GoRigIt case, but the case’s design also allows you to connect your iPhone to almost any GoPro mount! Attach it to your handlebars, windshield, board, or anywhere else you can think of! You will finally be able to view and manage what your out-of-reach GoPro is seeing.
It can be really difficult to get your iPhone in and out of other high-adventure cases. The GoRigIt case has been designed to make installation and removal as easy as possible! Just open the case and push on the back silicone, and your iPhone will pop right out (Patents Pending).
The final product will be made of a durable clear polycarbonate shell with a soft silicone inner shell to protect your iPhone. These renderings show what the final product will actually look like. The solid white case you may have seen in pictures and videos is just our 3D-printed prototype.
At this time there is no provision in the case for the charging port or headphone jack. We felt the overall safety of your phone was more important than these features at this time. The primary case is designed for the iPhone 5/5S, but an Android and iPhone 6 case is next on our list. We also plan to include usage of the headphone jack and charging port in the future.
To give you an idea of size, we wanted to include a comparison between the GoRigIt case, a Lifeproof case, and an Otterbox case. The GoRigIt case is barely thicker than the other two cases. However, the GoRigIt case is more narrow and shorter than the other two cases while offering the same protection:

These perks will go fast. Don’t miss your chance to become part of the GoRigIt #RigTeam!
Here at GoRigIt, we believe this product can revolutionize the way you use your GoPro. We need your help to make this dream a reality. We will use the funding for the following things:
- Injection Molding Tooling- the tools needed to manufacture the GoRigIt case are expensive. We need these particular tools to ensure a quality product.
- Minimum order quantities- when going through the manufacturing process, you are required to order a minimum amount out units. This generally covers the cost of labor and set up for the manufacturer.
- Packaging Expenses and Shipping- We do not want to simply send you a case in a shipping box. We need to package your case in a way to display your case. Also, we need to cover the cost of shipping from our manufacturer and to you.
We have invested our own time and money so far, and now we need your help to provide you with a case to reshape the way you shoot.
We want to get your case to you as soon as possible! The following is a timeline of projected dates for manufacturing an shipping:
All of us are entrepreneurial-minded individuals that love seeking adventure in any and all situations. Our passion for the adrenaline rush always leaves us wanting to make sure we record the moment. Some of the most unique adventures only happen once, so we want to ensure that we capture it the first time. From that need, we developed the GoRigIt case. It has taken months of caffeine-filled nights, but now our vision has become a reality and we’re stoked to share it with the world!
Risks and challenges
With any manufactured product, there are risks associated with the injection-molding process. Having tooling created overseas for an injection-molded part is challenging. There are language and culture barriers. We are currently teamed up with a local guy who has been working alongside the manufacturers for the past 25 years, enabling us to communicate with them as efficiently as possible. We will also be traveling to the factory in-person to oversee the first pull of the mold and refine any imperfections. Shipping is another challenge. When you have a high quantity of product it can be chaotic to figure out who gets what, where it goes, and what rewards have already been sent. We’ve brought on a couple extra people to make that process as smooth as possible, while also using software designed to maintain organization and efficiency.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
