Update 80: How's the edit coming? + The seats they sat in.
Hello backers and supporters,
A quick update to let you know that the edit on our film is moving forward and I still anticipate completing our documentary for film festival submissions in 2019.
As you know from what you've received already: over an hour of edited footage and video updates, information on our FOIA requests and USPTO lawsuit, seventy-five pages of a heavily footnoted "Filmmakers Guide to our Documentary Film,"over a hundred stills, eighty updates, and two Mediumarticles --- our film production has covered a lot of ground. The job now is to pull all that information into a cohesive story that is truthful, precise and understandable.
It's a slow and tedious process.
As I mentioned last time, I'll be sure to send you an update on the edit and my progress, at minimum, every 90 days. Unless something unexpected happens, the next time you'll hear from me will be around the first of May 2019.
The seats they sat in.
I filmed dozens of subjects for our documentary --- small business owners, artists, scholars and experts. One image that I keep running across during the edit are the pre-lit sets for sit down interviews. There's a kind of poetry to these shots and I wanted to share some of them below.
Got questions, suggestions or tips?
I'd love to hear from you! If you have questions, suggestions or tips about our story, feel free to contact me through Kickstarter, or at the website below.
Meanwhile, here's hoping that winter is treating you well, and you have a great Groundhog Day tomorrow!
Take care! Until next time,
