Have you ever browsed a GQ magazine and wondered how these guys can look so effortlessly good?
On the other hand, have you ever seen a Macy’s catalogue and FELT the department store look?
These men are wearing the SAME fabric, the SAME patterns and are under the SAME lighting.
There is no difference in the product.
Take a closer look.
Do you notice how the jacket’s shoulders align perfectly with the model? Do you see a slight angle in the waist so that the suit hugs their stomach?
Taking a look at the image below -- you can just sense the difference.
We want to bring affordable custom suiting to men everywhere. However, men don't trust getting their measurements from just anybody.
To solve this problem we thought about turning our ecommerce store into brick and mortar, but that would mean increasing our costs to the traditional range of a custom suit maker ($1,000+).
Keeping it out of reach from the customers we want.
So instead we got creative. We decided to do something that’s never been done. We’re travelling to you.
We’re building the first mobile tailor truck equipped with a 3D Scanner that will allow us to make you the best dressed man in the room.
With your support we'll travel to major metropolitan cities. Men will be able to get scanned and measured by our experienced tailors. Additionally, you'll be able to touch and feel the fabric before you buy.
The truck will be equipped with a fitting room, waiting area and a product display case.
The fitting room will be equipped with a 3D Body Scanner powered by 14 sensors in 6 angles and 7 different heights. It will take a 1.5 million point full body scan.
The 3D Scanner is not a gimmick prior to 2012 accuracy was to within 1-2 inches, but now our technology has a +/- range of 5mm. This works.
The body scan will be overlayed with a CAD design of your suit ensuring a fit like no other.
We’ve already purchased a used Box Truck and have started the initial design and construction process.
We expect to complete the interior by the third week of May. We’re making progress, but it still has a ways to go.
Here’s what the finished truck will look like.
We’ve made the majority of the largest investments, but in order to finish the project and finance the trip we need your help. The funds will be used to complete the truck project and to pay for travel and permits to go to select cities.
Your funding will allow us to push further and get men in your city to look effortlessly good!
The Tailor Truck Route
We plan to start in Phoenix and travel to NYC, we’ll be hitting major cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, and DC between May and December.
We expect to launch in late May after we take care of our initial permitting. The trip will span 6 months over eight cities.
Here is our tentative schedule:
Phoenix: May 20th - May 25th
Los Angeles: May 26th - June 3rd
San Francisco: June 5th - June 13th
Chicago: June 18th - June 26th
NYC: June 28th - July 30th
Philadelphia: TBA (July/August)

These dates are tentative. We will do our best to update, remove and add cities as the Kickstarter campaign progresses.
We're basing our dates / times based on projected demand in each city, but Kickstarter will likely change these projections.
If you'd like us to add your city, please message us and garner support from friends and family to make it possible.
All of our fabrics are 100% wool at qualities of Super 100s and above.
We use horn buttons and our linings are blended with natural fibers for increased breathability.
The jacket is interlined with a half canvas structure made of a horse hair blend that'll meld into your body form over time.
Our suits are fully custom made to the measurements that you send us.
We also have the only 100% perfect fit guarantee. That’s right 100% perfect fit with no arbitrary limits, unmatched in the industry. All this to help us in our mission. Making you look effortlessly good.
Risks and challenges
This isn't our first time around the block.
In February of 2012, Arden Reed went on Kickstarter asking for support in setting-up our first line of custom suiting and shirting. We sold nearly 5 times the amount we'd planned on selling and that kicked off an exciting year for our Customers and Arden Reed.
Producing anything, let alone your first product, poses a number of problems. Still, we were able to finish and ship to all of our customers.
We're not starting from square one. We know we can execute and make you the best dressed man in the room.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
