- 3D Gloop! provides the best bed adhesion for ABS, and PLA that has ever existed.I mean you can really print ABS on a room-temperature build plate WITHOUT an enclosure, with minimal to no warping. (Print removal from the build surface is no concern either!)

Put simply, this product is the best adhesive for 3D printing, EVER!
3D Gloop! is a specially formulated adhesive designed specifically to increase print adhesion to build surfaces on any 3D printer! (Heated glass, unheated glass, metal, tapes, you name it!)
I know, I know, you've heard this pitch before... Some child's craft supply, a special spray, or some magic (glue, goo, what’s the difference?) will solve your woes in 3D printing. Well, 3D Gloop! is not a generic, catch-all adhesive for build surfaces and parts... It's a serious, engineered adhesive, with each formulation designed for a specific filament type (ABS, PLA, etc.).
Alrighty! So the flagship-product of 3D Gloop! is a brush-on adhesive that can be used to SIGNIFICANTLY increase build platform adhesion for your prints.
Just brush a little gloop on the build surface before you print for the strongest bed adhesion you have ever seen!
If you’re new to 3D printing, or just don’t have the cash laying around for more expensive, high-end printers, but want to print ABS, you’re in luck! Using ABS Gloop!, you can print ABS in open air on entry-level printers with minimal/nonexistent warp from the bed. We’re serious, you can print ABS on a 70C bed, all the way down to ROOM-TEMPERATURE!
That said, our Gloop is made of science, not magic. If you are attempting tall, large prints, and try to print in drafty environments, your higher layers could still separate and curl, but your bottom layers never will.
Applying 3D Gloop is as simple as 1, 2, 3, er.. 4?
- Heat the bed. - Or don’t. It really doesn't matter.
- Open the container… - (Are we really sure this is a step?)
- Bush 3D Gloop! Onto the build surface using overlapping zig-zag passes.
- Do step 3 Again! This time perpendicular to the layer below.
- Oh and wait for the Gloop! To dry before printing!

If you’re like us, some of what you print is mechanical in nature, and tolerances are important. Using 3D Gloop! you can significantly lower the build-plate temperature, and decrease variance in the initial layers of your prints. One example is the red print shown below; it is subject to high temperatures and mechanical loads and must be printed out of ABS. Previously keeping the build-plate hot cause variance in the initial layers to be roughly 0.5mm (This required the bottom of the part to be trimmed before use). Using ABS Gloop! We were able to print the same piece, with no warping, on a 50C bed with less than 0.02mm variance (no more trimming required!).
But wait!... There's more!
Part to Part Adhesion!
3D Gloop! can also be used to glue prints together. For some plastics like PLA, Gluing 3D prints has always been a pain in the @$$! Not for 3D Gloop!
Our highly engineered formulas form a bond stronger than any other glue, period. – You read that right, any other glue period. Super glue isn't so super now! - HA!
When properly applied, 3D Gloop! holds so strong that bonds typically fail at other layers rather than the joint. Our force gauge was no match for the tiny 4mm by 4mm cross-sectional area of our test pieces...
It’s as simple as:
- Prep Yo’ Parts with some sanding.
- Gloop! It up!!! Be liberal with 3D Gloop, brushed, or squeezed on!
- Lastly, Give em’ the Clamps! (Clamp, or hold the two pieces together)
In seconds, 3D Gloop! Begins to fuse to your 3D prints, and once sandwiched together and allowed to cure, the bond becomes virtually unbreakable.
We’re not kidding! With a bond this strong, you have a good chance of stopping an unstoppable force. Or if you're more for moving an immovable object, it can probably do that too. Just don’t ask us where to find those things, or how to do it… We don’t want to play any part in breaking the universe.
3D Gloop! is available in many options. Well, it will come in many options. (Hint! Hint!) but for now its just two main types: ABS and PLA. We offer various application methods suited for specific tasks, check them out below!
Glue Gloop! - Our second and third tier rewards are designed specifically for bonding prints together! Based on our amazing 3D Gloop! formula, Glue Gloop! is a thicker adhesive and packaged in a syringe tube for precision applications.

In The Beginning...
3D Gloop! was formulated for one purpose. Well, several actually but primarily Andrew & Andrew were just tired of limitations on 3D printing with materials like ABS on consumer grade printers.
Both Andrews have been 3D printing enthusiasts for years, heck almost a decade! In their professional careers, they got to work with some really awesome 3D printers designing and prototyping complex functional components from fasteners, or product enclosures, to highly sophisticated wind tunnels and heat exchangers. These two multi-disciplined engineers always set out to build something bigger and better than their last fantastical creation and as such, they were always experimenting.
As the story goes, one Andrew called the other Andrew and asked this simple question:
“Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to expand the current capabilities of lower tier or entry-level consumer 3D printers? - You know, like 3D print ABS onto a room temperature build plate?”
Pretty big ambitions eh?
These two are no strangers to dreaming big and accomplishing great things!

Risks and challenges
3D Gloop! is not very “challenged” as far as many Kickstarters are concerned. The time and money has already been spent in developing the gloop, and how to produce it. The largest challenge our overlords can’t fix without help is spreading the word, and demonstrating 3D Gloop! to the world. Like all crowdfunded projects there are some other smaller hiccups that could happen.
On that note, there's always the possibility of the impending robot revolution, time-traveling bandits, or a massive black hole threatening all of existence… Regardless we are committed to delivering the best customer service experience possible and we will do everything in our power to deliver a high-quality product on time.
In the event of a cataclysmic doomsday scenario, there may be a slight possibility for delays in delivery of your ever-so-coveted 3D Gloop!
Additionally, should this crowdfunding be vastly over-successful, additional time may be required to produce larger quantities of products.
We can control what we can’t control, seems obvious right? The production of 3D Gloop! involves many processes to come together in harmony; all of which we have done before many times. Our biggest bottleneck for delivering product is bottles.
