Risks and challenges
There is always the risk of a Hurricane when in Key West, but after having lived there from 2004-2010 we’re well acquainted with filming for Mother Nature Productions.
The other ever present safety concern is the small, unassuming and therefor unnoticed, yet extremely poisonous, Brown Recluse spider.
Bug Safety 101:
KILL IT and KEEP IT
if bit or stung
That said, unplanned expenses could lead to production delays. Did we take everything into consideration when creating our “budget”? Which, in reality we all know is only a Statement of Probability. Bureaucratic red tape, permits, municipality mandates, additional travel to get the best interviews or to research facts we discover along the way; all could impede our progress. That's why we've set our completion date for Autumn 2013 to insure enough post production time, should it be necessary.
Still, this conchyoumentary could embarrass some powerful politicians. We're sure there are going to be those in Washington who are not happy that we are making this film.
There are only two things we can say about that:
1. We sincerely hope you're no longer in power; and
2. CONCH YOU!
We'll just have to wait and see, won't we! The truth will prevail.
