Proof of Success
The Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governor’s Island in New York has
proven to be a wild success over the past seven years. This summer will
be the first year the event is booked for two non-consecutive weekends.
This unique event sold out last year.
The Twin Cities have vibrant music and literary scenes, which
make them a perfect place to hold the Fitzgerald Social Razz, an event
that will take what was successful about the Jazz Age Lawn Party and
tailor it to the Twin Cities’ distinct culture. Last year, the St. Paul
Jazz Festival attracted nearly 450,000 people. Highlighting, history,
culture, and art, this event brings all walks of life together to
appreciate jazz music in downtown St. Paul. The Jazz Festival is a
unique event that has proven to be successful year after year.
Risks and challenges
Event planning involves accounting for everything. Being prepared for unplanned occurrences(that usually happen last minute) is essential to a successful event. We aim to have a "rain plan" for most of the situations that could arise with things like permits, vendors, entertainment, and of course rain!
With this being the Fitzgerald Social Razz's inaugural year being prepared for these situations and communicating the right information to the right people is top priority. Which means, we'll have you covered even if it does rain!
