Dear Backers,

What a week! It's been amazing to see so many of you posting photos and videos unpacking your brand new ACE’s! Please keep them coming, especially if you’ll be out riding over the weekend. Thank you so much for your comments and messages about ACE this week. Being recognised for our products is a testimony to the passion for cycling we put into our work.

Delivery Update

If you are one of the backers who is still waiting on that all important Amazon dispatch email (and the postman arriving at your door!), we really appreciate your continued patience. We understand your frustration when you see other backers who’ve already got their lights. We're frustrated too.

We've been caught out due to sending large amounts of stock to Amazon - this is more likely to trigger customs checks (when going internationally) and internal redistribution (to put stock closer to delivery end points based on previous orders). Unfortunately we have very little influence, so just have to wait for Amazon to work through checking in the stock and processing the dispatch to you. These Amazon processes also mean that our order sequence went out the window. Amazon simply dispatch as soon as stock be comes available at a centre near you. Thanks for your kind understanding.

If you pledged for a new See.Sense T-shirt - these will be shipped separately next week - again we’d love to hear what you think of them and see some of your photos on social media.

iOS App Live

Thanks to our in-house iOS developer Valerio (who has worked round the clock again this week), our App is now live on the App Store! One thing you’ll need to do is update the firmware on your ACE’s. Do also make sure you are running the latest version of the app as there was an early update yesterday which made some important improvements. Android development continues and we remain on track for a launch in around three weeks time. If you are an Android user and want to update the firmware on your lights, you could do this using a friend or colleagues iPhone. While we appreciate this might not be ideal for you all we thank you for being so patient.

As always, thank you for supporting ACE and for being on this journey with us! We hope you’ll love using ACE as much as we have loved building it.

      Backer 305 , no light no email , been with see sense since their first light , then upgraded to the version 2 , really annoyed they can't even tell me when my light will arrive , my brand loyalty had disappeared , pathetic waste of my time

      email from Amazon Fri 12 notifying delivery in Australia Tues 16th. Early morning Tues 16 parcel arrived as forecast. Now on charge. Smaller and neater than I had expected from the pictures. My daughter received her email on Fri with scheduled delivery yesterday and they also arrived on schedule.

      Great surprise today to come home to a wee parcel in the mailbox. The lights have arrived, now I can just wait for the Android app to appear in the Play Store.
      Looks and feels like good quality, but time will tell.

      Do you know who the email comes from for US shipments? My spam folder is a very crowded and evil place that I avoid at all costs. In all seriousness though - just looking through the first 100 messages today, I have probably a dozen different messages from 'FedEx' and the like that are obvious scams.

      I must have completed the survey three times, but how am I to know that See.Sense has received it? There was never any confirmation email!! Also, in the survey for USA backers there was no dedicated line to fill in ones home State - how is Amazon supposed to get something to you if they don’t know where you are?!? BTW still no lights, not that there is any surprise. See.Sense you really need to stop blaming this mess on issues outside your control, it’s clear to see that you are the ones who bollocked up this one.

      I'm sorry that a minority of backers (<10%) have been impacted by shipping delays beyond our control. We do now have more shipments through customs for international FBA locations as well as stock available at FBA UK and shipments leaving our office directly to plug gaps. We expect to have all remaining pledges out by the end of today.

      Please allow a few days for your shipping email or items to arrive. Do check your spam folders as a lot of shipping messages appear to be getting lost (items turning up before the email!).

      When you do receive it, please do reply to any comments you posted below to let us know.

      And of course, if you didn't fill in the backer survey we sent in August then we don't have your address (nor do we have it from your payment or Kickstarter account). If that's the case, please raise a support ticket and we'll send you a link to your personal survey. Please don't request it via comment as we can't post your personal link there as anyone could fill it in!

      Hi Philip, I think you would save yourself a lot of hard feelings if you sent out an email with a tracking number with each shipment you post. I'd be OK waiting even 4 more weeks if I had something like a tracking number to reference.

      Unbelievable - no update - no communication of any form - no email from Amazon - no lights right now or - ever? Who knows! What a way to run a company See.Sense - a real slap in the face by you to the backers who supported your project from the beginning. You really need to get your collective acts together and abide by your obligations to your kickstarter clients. Talking about Kickstarter- is there a way to complain to them? This is an insult!

      Hi Philip, perhaps you can explain this. I've just checked your store on amazon.co.uk, and there is a set of Ace lights available at £79.99 for next-day delivery to my UK address. Yet the set which I pledged for over a year ago is still nowhere to be seen, and you have no way of telling me when it will arrive?

      Your support team told me last week to expect the lights by the end of last week or very beginning of this, but still nothing. I chased yesterday, to be told you're doing your final deliveries this week. Now why am I finding it hard to believe that my lights will ever arrive?

      Hi Philip, the Kickstarter website asks us to be respectful and considerate but it is becoming increasingly difficult to do so. See Sense seems to be disrespectful and disdainful of us, its backers, who have provided you with money for a product which has still not arrived. The original date for receipt of my lights was to be mid June 2018. We are now almost in mid October 2018 (four months later) with no sign of my lights and no satisfactory explanation of the delay. You know how many backers you have, you know where we live - to blame the delay on Amazon is not acceptable. Why did you use them in the first place if they couldn't meet your deadlines. Please respond with some useful information about the progress of my purchase.

      Well. I guess I cannot bark anymore about the lack of Android Support. In part, due to the reason this product will probably never get FULL Android Support I broke down and bought a iPhone XS over the weekend. Now If I would just get a tracking number from the supplier I'd be happy. I understand that coming from over seas to Yankeeland will take a while but seriously. This is getting old quick.

      After this and two other Kickstater fails. I doubt I'll ever use this platform again.

      Guess I’ll show my disappointment here too. I have been told since Sept 21st that next week I should see an email from Amazon. Last week I asked AGAIN where my lights are and when I will get them. I got the same copy and pasted response from Philip as everyone else in the US has gotten. I’m very unhappy at this point in the service from See.Sense and will definitely not back another project. Honestly the Amazon issues aren’t the backers’ problem it’s See.Sense’s problem for not making sure the shipping happened in a timely manner and in a way that they wanted. I have seen these lights on eBay (yes for more than I paid) but it’s still a MAJOR FAIL for your EARLY BACKERS (yes number 256, or something like that here) to not have lights and for them to appear on sale sights. Even worse optics is for you have a HUGE announcement of partnering with British Cycling all while have MANY MANY disappointed customers waiting and waiting on lights. Not cool Philip, not cool.
