Thank you everyone who has backed us so far. We have been bowled over with the response.
We have added a new stretch goal of £15,000 to create a 45 minute Hallowe'en special and fund our live shows.
"Move over, Radio 4. This ensemble scripted comedy about a pair of doomed undertakers is funnier than anything broadcast on the BBC."
- The New Statesman: "The Best Podcasts of 2016"
Since leaving Rudyard and Antigone on the shores of Piffling, we have been flooded with questions about whether or not we're planning a third season.
We certainly are.
And we need your help.
We've always strived to make Wooden Overcoats the highest quality production it can be. It takes a huge team. That includes writers, directors, actors, musicians, our composer, technicians, not to mention all the coffin diggers, tombstone builders and grave carvers. Everyone who makes Wooden Overcoats is a professional in their field, and it is important to us that our contributors are paid fairly for their work.
A season of Wooden Overcoats costs well over £10,000 to make. We are asking for £8,000 from Kickstarter and will raise the rest from our live shows and fundraising activities later in the year.
"Fab." - The Guardian

- Ciara Baxendale: Georgie Crusoe
- Tom Crowley: Eric Chapman
- Beth Eyre: Antigone Funn
- Belinda Lang: Madeleine

The series is written by a team of writers headed up by David K. Barnes. It is produced by John Wakefield and Andy Goddard and managed by Elizabeth Campbell. The composer is James Whittle with music by the Piffling Philharmonic.
Other cast members include Andy Secombe as Rev. Nigel Wavering, Alison Skilbeck as Agatha Doyle (the island's sweetshop owner and entire police force) and many more. Over the last two seasons, we've been lucky enough to work with guests including Katy Manning, Caroline Quentin and Andy Hamilton.
"Very funny." - WIRED
Rudyard Ruins Summer
If we make our stretch goal of £10,000, we will make an additional episode exclusively for our backers: Rudyard Ruins Summer. The Wooden Overcoats summer special will be available to everyone who backs this Kickstarter, no matter the amount.
"Raises the bar for podcasting as a whole." - Laugh Out London
For every £2,000 we make, we will release a new mini-episode from a series we call Funn Fragments. Keep an eye on the chart below to see which fragments have been released.
Make sure you're subscribed to our podcast feed to listen to the latest episode. Simply search "Wooden Overcoats" in your podcatcher of choice.
"Inspired comedy." - The Times
We love this show. We love making this show. And with your help, we can.
Risks and challenges
If we hit our target, we will make Season 3. If we hit our stretch goal, we will make the summer special.
Wooden Overcoats is a complicated machine. Almost all our constituent parts are people and sometimes circumstances we can't control step in to stop us having those people.
We have already secured the availability of our core team and are now working through the rest. If the worst happens and we need to find a replacement team member, we are lucky to work out of London which has one of the biggest pools of artistic and technical talent in the English-speaking world.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
