In an industry that is dominated by commercial, for-profit theater within an extremely competitive market, we as young, emerging artists have decided to take matters into our own hands and create the opportunity to share live theater that is both socially and culturally relevant.
This is why we chose Really Really, by Paul Downs Colaizzo, as our first production. Really Really is a contemporary drama that pushes the edges and embraces the harsh reality of today's youth. At an elite university, when the party of the year results in the regret of a lifetime, one person will stop at nothing to salvage a future that is suddenly slipping away. In this quick-witted and gripping comic tragedy about 'Generation Me,' it's every man for himself.
Solely comprised of members of the Montclair State University BFA Acting and Musical Theatre Community, we are the first group of MSU BFA alums in recent memory to fully produce a live production of an existing work in New York City.
With your help, we are cultivating young, professional careers with potentially high visibility. In conjunction with the Actors Equity Association Basic Showcase Code (Pending), this production has the opportunity to be seen by major NYC casting directors, agencies, and managers.
At the end of the day, it is our belief that theater is about stimulating awareness, emotional intelligence, and discussion of cultural and societal issues. Really Really is the play to do just that.
We thank you for your support and cannot wait to take this journey with you!

Risks and challenges
One of the biggest challenges that we face as an independent production without a permanent home is rehearsal space. Like everything else in New York, finding a rehearsal space is both costly and exhausting. There are many many logistical details that go into scheduling and paying for rehearsal spaces 5 times a week. With your help, the process of finding spaces to rehearse will run smoothly, as we will have many more options available to us.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
