Non-Event is preparing to kick off our twelfth season, and we've already got big plans for 2013. But we need your support to make them happen.
Looking back, 2012 was a phenomenal year for Non-Event. We organized 24 concerts in and around the city, featuring an amazing array of musicians, improvisers, and sound artists. We held these shows in an fantastic collection of spaces, including the Goethe-Institut, the Modern Theatre, New England Conservatory, the School at the Museum of Fine Arts, Industry Lab, the Middlesex, Studio Soto, and Café Fixe.
All of this was made possible in part by the very generous folks who contributed to last year's Kickstarter campaign. Thank you!

2013 promises to be even more ambitious. Some of the shows we're working on will feature Matt Krefting, Felix Kubin, Leif Elggren + C.M. von Hausswolff, Hong Chulki (of Seoul's Balloon + Needle), Judy Dunaway, Katze (Morgan Evans Weiler + Noell Dorsey), Bryan Eubanks, and many other strange and wonderful musicians from all over, as well as local experimental musicians who are shaping the current Boston scene.
Your contribution to this Kickstarter campaign will help us take care of all the things, both big and small, that allow us to make great concerts happen: artist fees and travel costs, venue and equipment rental, web site hosting, graphic design, and so on. It also helps us continue to keep ticket prices low, while still ensuring that artists get paid guaranteed fees rather than relying on door money. In addition, we're offering some lovely rewards to sweeten the deal.
Check those out to the right! =====================>

Risks and challenges
Non-Event is by its nature a work-in-progress. We face no single, overwhelming challenge, but instead confront many small obstacles. With every concert, we face potential scheduling conflicts, weather "events," and venue and collaborator mishaps.
Over our many years of presenting concerts, however, we've learned how to tackle almost any obstacle that's come our way with the help of our network of friends, volunteers, and supporters.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
