This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Wed, November 28 2018 7:10 PM UTC +00:00.
We are seeking support to complete the mastering and duplication of our new EP, "Hillbilly Poetry". We've been able to self-finance the initial tracking and mixing phase of the project but lack the resources to bring this new batch of songs to life (mastering, duplication, album artwork). We've poured our heart and soul into this music over the past 6 months and are thrilled to finally be back in the studio with Scott "Scooter" Smith to create something unique and original to share with all of you.
Tracking will be finished by the end of October and we anticipate having final mixes in hand by the second week of November. With your support, our goal is to have copies in the mail to our backers in time for Christmas... if you're looking for a musical stocking stuffer, we've got you covered!
This EP represents a major step in our growth as a band. Over the past half a year, we've invested a huge amount of time and energy into growing our fan base, writing and performing new music, playing gigs in new markets throughout the Four Corners area, and planning our next moves on our path to becoming a nationally touring band. We hope our backers will recognize the financial risk and struggles inherent in taking on any kind of major creative project and will help us navigate what is for us and countless other bands a challenging but vital stage of our life as a band.
We are deeply grateful for the help we have already received on so many fronts from friends, family, and fans in Durango and around the country and world: support of our last full-length album campaign, gig offers, Facebook likes, couches to crash on after gigs, and above all else, knowing we have a lot of good people in our corner who understand what we are trying to do and wish us success. It means a great deal, and we wouldn't be where we are today without all of you!
Risks and challenges
We are trying to keep this campaign as simple as possible: support our album, get an advance digital download and a signed copy. Our last Kickstarter had over a dozen different rewards and involved the creation of numerous reward items; as a busy band, we struggled to meet our projected delivery dates and to keep all the different moving parts organized. This time, we aim to keep the process as streamlined as possible so that we can have everything shipped out ahead of schedule and maintain good, clear communication throughout.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
