First Stretch Goal Reached; Next Goal: Austin Comic Con (and more books)

Posted by David Borden (Creator)

Yesterday, we reached our first Stretch Goal. Thank you all so much. This means that I'll be working on a bonus chapter to include with your rewards. It also means that everything we earn from now until the second stretch goal of $3000 pays for things associated with operating an Artist Alley table at Austin Comic Con in November 2017. Ruby and I have reserved our table, but now we need to pay the fee, purchase signage and swag, and stock it with art and copies of the graphic novel. Those things all cost money. Contributions at this level will do that.

Why is Comic Con important? If you are unfamiliar with the event, read on. It is arguably the premier pop culture conference. These conferences go on around the country. Local and International writer and artists gather to show off their comics and network. There are break-out sessions to learn about the industry from expert panels. Fans often dress in costumes and stand in line to get their picture with performers, such as William Shatner. It will be a good test case for us to see how the graphic novel plays with a wider audience.

Wish us luck with a buck!

Thanks,

David
