Have a question?
It is 2016. Release the images and maybe throw in some of your other work. http://devinschoeffler.com/
If you could just release the images into a drive for everyone to have it would at least be something
Now 2015 and still nothing. Never even a reply back to an email several months ago.
It's now August 12, 2014 and I haven't received jack! What's going on Devin?
You have lots of talent; but you're a lousy businessman. Get a friend to help you fulfill your orders.
It is now February 2014 and I still have not received my 4 posters (yes, $120 pledge that I paid), despite an unanswered email to Devin. I was being patient because I know these things can often have unforeseen problems, but I'm really disappointed. I was really excited about this project.
@Flavien - Taken from Kickstarter FAQ...
Is a creator legally obligated to fulfill the promises of their project?
So maybe you should contact Kickstarter directly...
I know some of us have received posters, so the process was underway at some point, but I think Devin just gave up on the project...
I never, never receive posters, I send mail but no response !!! Devin is a robber !!!!
Tanja, in answer to your question, I guess I had better experience than many. I contributed $90 for three posters (2 Einstein and 1 Curie). I received the 2 Einstein in December. There was, according to Devin, some kind of printing issue with Curie (I tend to believe he never actually produced it). I asked about it a number of times, and eventually he did refund my entire amount via paypal. I understand others have not been so lucky.
I have tried many times with Devin and it's always been some excuse but no product. My feelings are that this is dead in the water and the money is gone. I've been extremely patient, open with communication but persistent. Still, nothing.
Did anyone ever get a poster from him?
Well, I notice I'm not the only one why didn't get his posters then. Can you please have the decency to update the people who accumulatively gave you $15K for this work?
Peter, I had a similar exchange when inquiring in January since an unknown package sent to me got lost (and in December Devin told me he was trying to get everything shipped before Christmas, so the timing seemed to fit). In the end I received no details on my questions (if he had any tracking numbers, date of postage, etc.) but he just indicated he would send replacements. In the end it turns out the lost package was something else entirely and due to an administrative error at the post office wasn't actually lost at all, so I also doubt if posters were shipped in the first place, and no replacements ever arrived either. Seems he uses this as a standard message to delay backers. I sent a refund request a few weeks ago, but received no response at all so far. Will to communicatie via his website next. We'll see...
i received the following email on june 21
I'm unsure why your posters didn't get to you. I can send you a replacement set of posters today, or if you want a refund, just send me your paypal email address.
i replied with my address again stating that i would prefer the posters to a refund, dead air since then
I sent a refund request, never received a reply. I'm guessing he got in over his head, used the funds for something else and couldn't afford the print runs. Just a guess, but I've seen this sort of thing happen before.
Did you all send him a message on here, or what email was used for him to issue you a refund?
My posters (Einstein & Tesla) never arrived.
Hey Devin.....Thanks for burning us. I still have not received my posters which is a huge disappointment. Frankly, it isn't that hard for you to print some posters and, if that's too hard, at least post the high-quality files to us so WE can print them.
However, I'm getting the impression that you're exactly what's wrong with Kickstarter. There's a chance for you win back my trust in you as an artist, but that window is closing quickly. People have been very considerate with you, but frankly you don't deserve it. You made a promise and you've failed to keep it.
If you want to ask Devin for a refund, I suggest that you use the "contact me" button on the right side of the page. I don't think he's paying much attention to comments here. Good luck!
Yeah I'm waiting on all four posters, so the theory that the Curie image is the one holding everything up doesn't seem too far-fetched. At this stage i would be happy to receive the other posters and a refund for Curie if that is the case - still no reply from Devin after a week or so though :/
I have received all Kickstarter packages except Yours! If you are over your head, fine. Please issue a refund to me. My email is email@example.com for easy communication.
Looking forward to completing our business transaction.
Donna, you're probably right---it seems to be that the people who never received their set of posters were because they had one of Curie (like the guy who got his Einsteins several months ago but no Curie). I can understand Devin running out of time or deciding that the number of people who ordered her wasn't large enough to put in his effort--but he should have thought about that when setting up the project in the first place. It seems that Devin is now waiting for everyone who never received their posters to individually contact him, as opposed to sending out an honest update about what happened. At least he is actually refunding those of us who care to contact him though....
Devin, if you did in fact create the Curie poster and all of us who have needed refunds really did all have our posters magically lost in the mail--would you please make that poster available to download like you did with Tesla and Einstein? It would go a long way for those of us who have waited months and months to simply get a refund for all this mess.
I also received a refund. I wonder if the Curie poster never got created (I never saw a picture of it). I'm sad as I had hoped to give it to my Physics-major daughter.
Devin sent me my refund yesterday. I would have rather had the posters, but at least I got my money back.
I've emailed Devin but haven't heard anything back yet. I'm assuming the worst on the posters front, but it would be nice to know what's going on either way
Devin send me a refund :( I mean -- I have a place for the poster but now hope is lost.
I emailed Devin a few weeks ago, and he replied to me on 5/23/13 and told me that my posters had been sent quite some time ago. I never received them though.
He has offered to refund my money, and I gave him my Paypal information, but haven't received anything as of yet.
It's already end of may and no posters :(
Devin just sent me a refund via Paypal. Not the outcome I hoped for (really did love his designs), but at least it was a fair outcome. Thank you, Devin.
Ben, after a few months of repeated messages, Devin contacted me May 8 to say that he would just refund me my money because he had tried shipping me my posters twice and that they had somehow gotten lost in the mail both times (and my address is correct). A little fishy, but at least he offered the refund. However, I wrote him four messages since with my Paypal information, and no response at all.
Devin, if you truly have good intentions--then please respond to both Ben and I. This project was funded over half a year ago and I've yet to see either my money or a product. I've done my best to understand any logistical issues you might have--but this is simply absurd. The printing process was perfected in like the 1400s and does not require months to be accomplished. What I don't understand is that I've trolled your personal website--and it looks like you are pretty well established in your career Devin. I can't even fathom how someone like you could bungle something like this so spectacularly. Some people got posters months ago, others like me haven't gotten anything--and we've heard virtually nothing from you in the meantime. Please respond immediately.
He contacted me 2 months ago when I left a comment about unprofessionalism. I've now not heard back after repeatedly trying to contact him and am demanding a refund. Will kick starter step in or am I alone and out $150?!
Hi Devin, any update on shipping for those of us in backerland?
Still nothing here (Netherlands). Einstein and Darwin. Was originally targetting this as a gift in December, and realized we might not quite make it, so have been telling people that it will be soon. Of course nobody believes me anymore (including myself) :(
There doesn't really seem to be any connection between where people are or what they ordered, for those still waiting. Is the shipping process completely random? Is it ever going to happen?
Last update two months ago "we're almost there". Yeah right... UPDATE PLEASE! (Or rather: SHIPPING PLEASE!)
I ordered three (two Einstein and 1 Curie). I received the Einstein ones around Christmas time, but have had no communication since then, and no Curie.
Yeah, I haven't received anything either.
Has he actually been shipping the posters out?
It's been so long, I'm trying to remember which two posters I ordered. I think it was Einstein and Curie. I haven't received either, nor have I received any communication from Devin.
Devin, seriously. Please take the time to answer us.
Devin? Please respond with an update. How many people still haven't gotten their posters? What's the issue? When can I expect mine?
Still haven't received my poster and my address is in the same state, CA! Waiting, Wondering & Reading that I'm in the 25% that will get what we pledged.
Just got mine today! They did come out pretty cool! Thanks Devin!
Just curious how many people have received their posters if they ordered more than one? These are really cool and I wish we could get a public update.
Please update Devin.
Any update for us Devin? I Have not received anything either...
Still haven't received my posters! Frustrated
Still haven't received anything. I know stuff can happen but, communication is key. Can't wait.
Update. Communicate. 6 months and I've received nothing. Unbelievably unprofessional
Please an official update Devin... Whats so hard about it?
462 backers is not impossible to handle and some of us already received their stuff..
Im backing stuff with thousands of backers and international shippings and its done by one guy/his family as well.
Brit Masters wrote you tried to print Curie already? --> Why dont you upload it as preview, as all the other posters?
Communication Devin.. Please. nearly half a year over the expected delivery date is not a joke anymore.
Still: We love what you do and pay you for this. --> so dont get frustrated and keep your head up! ;)
That's a convenient excuse. However, I only ordered the Einstein and Tesla posters which were designed before funding finished and have yet to receive anything. I am in the US. I was told via PM on Jan 24 that shipping issues were to blame and asking me to confirm my address (seems odd to ask me to confirm if you have the questionnaire results). We're definitely to the 'somethings fishy' point.
Hey y'all, just fyi, a couple of weeks ago--Devin told me that there had been a misprint of the Curie posters, so all of them had to be redone. It sounds like for most of us that haven't received them, it's because of the Curie poster.
Devin, please provide an update on this situation though. I have to think that you would have been able to get the Curie posters re-printed by now.
Must say for a project that met it's goal September 28, 2012, it is taking a long time not to get our posters that we in good faith helped you print. I am very disappointed and will now contact Kickstarter with my grievances since I am not getting any response from the email I have mailed to you.
Is Curie not done yet or something?
