Vanguard Valkyrie Demo updated for DK2 / DK1 in Windows - a Public Announcement

I've successfully integrated the new 0.4.0 SDK from Oculus into the demo. This should fix a number of compatibility issues. This build works on both DK1 and DK2 so now there is no reason to download two different versions. Neat huh? I will leave the old links in place just in case there is a reason they work better with your configuration than the new build (computers can be funny sometimes). I'm still waiting for Mac / Linux support from Oculus for the DK2. Should be soon.

      I'm also getting black screen on DK2 when launching. The "Direct To Rift" exe launches, and shows on the desktop as well, but the DK2 is just black. The video that shows up on my monitor seems to be working with VR, etc, it's just not sending anything to the DK2's display.

      Getting black screen on my DK2 when launching.

      I can hear the music and the screen on the DK2 flashes on and then off once very quickly. My rift and tracking camera both activate with their blue lights showing they are in direct mode. Running with an AMD R9 290X on the latest drivers (14.6RC) and I'm seeing this both with Proton Pulse and Vanguard Valkyrie.

      @Daryl I would recommend Direct if you're using a DK2. Make sure that your DK2 has the updated firmware by using the Oculus Tool that comes with the drivers. DK1 only supports extended mode.

      @Armando, press Alt immediately after starting the app to bring up the dialogue box. These settings are being overwritten by the new Oculus SDK so I can't make it automatic.

      So how should I be running this. Extended mode (landscape or portrait) or Direct HMD. There have been so many work-arounds not sure which to use now days heh.

      The dialog to choose resolution and quality doesn't appear in this version and by default the game is 1280x800 in the DK1, and looks much more pixelated than if was downscaled from 1080p
