STRETCH GOAL ACHIEVED!
As a thank you, to our backers, we added a stretch goal for reaching £4,500. We have achieved this and now unlocked a 7th apprentice, Sanloss, for all backers of our top pledge. This miniature will go out free to those who have pledged for the complete set of 6 apprentices.
Here are six Wizard Apprentices that Midlam Miniatures has commissioned from sculptor Martin Baker to compliment our existing line of magic users.
We are using this Kickstarter project as a test to see if it can help speed up our miniature production process. This Kickstarter will allow us to fund master and production moulds for these figures and make them available for release much sooner than we would otherwise be able to.
Should this initial Kickstarter be successful, then we will be able to start getting many of our other ideas for miniatures onto the gaming table, allowing us to expand our range and offer greater rewards.
PLEASE NOTE: The miniatures are cast in metal (which may contain LEAD). They are not toys, and are not suitable for children.
All miniatures are supplied unpainted.
All images and miniatures are ©2016 Midlam Miniatures.
Risks and challenges
Risks are low, as the sculpts have already been produced (see pictures) and are now only awaiting master and production moulds.
There is always a small chance that a master sculpt may be destroyed in the master mould making process and/or the figure does not cast properly. In these unlikely circumstances we would get a new sculpt by the original sculptor, matching the original as closely as possible, with whatever modifications are necessary for the miniatures to cast correctly. Should this happen, the estimated release date of October 2016 for all miniatures could be pushed back by a month or two until any problem was fixed.
We will keep people updated at all stages of production to let them know how the manufacturing is going.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
