As the full moons rise over the small town, whispers of smoke from dying fires drift from the chimney pots into the night, and all is silent, but for some contented post second-supper snoring.
But then the night is pierced by a terrible wailing howl, and hands clutch bed clothes tighter and pull sleeping caps down over ears.
There are mutters of regret over eating the last of the cheese before bed time, but alas, this is no nightmare!
Through the lanes they come, not entirely dead, nor entirely living... ghouls and zombies, skeletons and werewolves, mummies and necromancers...
Stretch Goal Unlocked!
We are please to say that the Henchman and Henchwoman stretch goals have now been unlocked, thank you all for your continued support!
Go Forth My Evil Servants! The Halfling Dead Stretch Goal
Robert De Graves and Theresa Dead viewed their chaos across the town with delight. They ushered forth Egor Blimey the henchman and Thora Bells the henchwoman, for while the Halfling Dead sought only to munch on fresh bodies, they were tasked with stealing the latest batch of Mimbleberry Pies!
We are pleased to announce the stretch goal, an Evil Henchman and Henchwoman to do the bidding of the Necromancers!
Should we reach £4500, then we will include one Egor Blimey and one Thora Bells free (and with no additional postage) with every pledge of The Halfling Dead and anyone backing The Halfling Dead x2 will receive two copies of each.
Those backing the Gentlemen Halfling Dead will receive an Egor Blimey.
Those backing the Lady Halfling Dead will receive a Thora Bells.
Backers who pledge for a single or double miniature reward may choose Egor Bilmey or Thora Bells as one of their reward miniatures.
The Halfling Dead!
The Halfling Dead is a series of twenty 28mm scale halfling miniatures featuring all of your favourite archetypes from tales of horror.
A Note on Metal
The miniatures are cast in a high quality pewter, with a high Tin content, but may contain a small quantity of lead (typically no more than 5%). We unfortunately cannot guarantee lead free models. Most 'lead free' metal usually contains a small amount of lead to help the metal flow into the mould. Below is an actual picture of the shiny high quality metal we use.
Risks and challenges
Risks and challenges
Risks are low, though there is always a small chance that, for one reason or another, a figure does not cast properly.
In these unlikely circumstances we would either get a replacement mould or commission a sculpt by the original sculptor, matching the original as closely as possible, with whatever modifications are necessary for the miniatures to cast correctly.
Should this happen, the estimated release date for all miniatures could be pushed back by a month or two until any problem was fixed.
Although, across all 14 of our Kickstarters, and over a hundred miniatures made, we have only had one serious issue with one miniature, which in the end, only added a couple of weeks to shipping.
We strive to keep people updated at all stages of production to let them know how the manufacturing is going.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
