Shooting of the movie has up to now been 100% auto-produced. In other words, all production costs have been heretofore paid by us. We have now reached a breaking-point where we dispose of insufficient funds to bring the film to completion. As a result, we are asking for your help in order to fulfill our original vision of producing a film that fuses a VJ performance with the documentary. We aim to make such a hybrid film with the assistance of motion design that will convey the feeling of watching a real-life VJ perform.

We wanted to distinguish ourselves from the traditional by compensating our contributors with something special. That is why we teamed up with some artists featured in the documentary and Montreal's visual artists to create art for Kickstarter. All rewards were made specifically for Kickstarter and are a chance for you to acquire quality art pieces from local artists.
- For every donation made above 60$ you can get 10$ off a t-shirt or long-sleeve. You can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for pricing details.
You will see that most of our budget goes towards creating custom music and motion design for the film. We have decided to work with a local electronic music producer to bring a custom sound-track to the film. To this soundtrack and the documentary we will add motion design to create a new experience in documentary film: a hybrid between a live VJing performance and a documentary film.
- 500$ : Kickstarter Fee
- 1 000$ : Reward Production Fee (Shirt pinting, material for the art-works, etc.)
- 1 000$ : Editing
- 1 000$ : Color
- 1 000$ : Music
- 3 000 $ : Motion Design
We are offering shirt designs that are inspired by the art-work created for the film poster and esthetic. While they do not state clearly their link to the film, they are nonetheless created in the same mind-set.
The shirts were designed by a Montreal designer. They are made and printed in Canada in a high quality fabric. We are conscious that the t-shirts are slightly higher-priced than some other brands, but it was important for us to offer a local product of the highest quality.
- You can send us your t-shirt size at : email@example.com

La Société de la place des Spectacles - Oli Sorenson
You can find out more about the artist here : http://olisorenson.com/
Inspired from the live works of Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto (1933-) of meticulously ransacking large mirrors, Sorenson revisited the classical traditions of vanitas under new materials together with one of the more celebrated exploits of Arte Povera. From this point on, does Sorrenson reassess art’s materiality if its generative principles now spawn from the destruction of its components? La Société de la Place des Spectacles confront us with a paradoxical twist, an absurd action forged in the same relentless flight of obsolescence and waste as our current media feeding frenzy.
A limited edition of 10 prints. Signed and numbered. Size : 7 3/4 X 10
Risks and challenges
Even if we are counting on a skilled production team with a great deal of experience, this is a big post-production task.
Our goal is to create a hybrid between a VJing performance and a film, so a lot of coordination and communication will be needed.
However we are counting on a solid post-production team with which we have worked numerous times before to help us create the best product possible for you!
