Beta Launch!

Greetings Alchemists!

The Beta is finally here and we can't wait for you guys to try it out!

We've started sending out Testflight invites, look out for an invite in your email. We'd also like to highlight a few things:

  • This is still beta software so there will be bugs. If things don't quite work the way you think send us an email at and we'll try to get it resolved asap.
  • All account data during the beta will not carry over. However, if you're a Kickstarter backer we'll get in contact to equip you with any in game item(s) you paid for during the campaign once we officially soft launch.
  • In app purchases are disabled during the beta. You won't be able to buy any coins in the shop but can still earn them in the game via completing daily missions etc.
  • Whenever you get a new build please install a fresh copy rather than upgrade through Testflight to ensure a clean slate.
  • Card stealing is active by default. Our aim is to get feedback on the game itself so by default there are only two modes, normal and combo. Card stealing is active for both so you can lose your cards. We'll eventually offer a practice mode and allow rule tweaking to turn this off later.

How do I get access?

We'll be sending out invites according to the following schedule:

Month 1 - Kickstarter Backers

Month 2 - Beta email list subscribers

Month 3 - More beta email list subscribers

After the first three months, the game will be soft launched into selected iOS app store markets. We'll announce which ones nearer the time. For those who you may be wondering about an Android release, don't worry - it's still on our radar as the next platform.

What's in the build

We'll set up a changelog page which shows you all the stuff you'll be able to do in each build. As we push out new updates/fixes/features, we'll continuously update this page so be sure to check it regularly. But for the initial release you'll be able to do the following activities:

  • Create accounts
  • Build your decks
  • Collect 175 cards across five initial Divisions
  • Duel other players in normal and combo rules
  • Complete daily missions
  • Earn achievements 
  • Ranked in the global leaderboard

We're already working on the next batch of exciting features, which will be revealed later on. 

Community discussion

We've setup an invite only Facebook group for beta testers to hang out, discuss the game as well as give us on going feedback. By default, we'll be sending out invites for the group using the same emails you left for the beta. If you somehow have a different email associated with your Facebook account, just shoot us a support email.

On a final note, we'd just like to say a special thank you for continuing to support us on this long journey. Making a game is no easy feat but your support and love for the project has helped make the game a reality.

      @Noah thanks for the detailed feedback, we've taken a lot of these points into our planning. The idea behind the game is that there are and will be more rules you can combine to make the game dynamic. But yes everything is centred around the numbers. Normal mode offers the very basic rule, Combo mode increases the depth and allow you to activate two types of modifiers to cause a combo chain of card flips. This update will help explain how those work We're planning to create a proper guide on the card game, its rules etc.

      There will be new modifiers in the future, all triggering different effects and making the game even more dynamic.

      It's basically "Skystones" from the Skylanders game but without any special abilities on the cards. It's just a numbers game as far as I can tell. Minor strategy?

      Here's my feedback.

      1. Almost gave up and uninstalled during the tutorial because I couldn't create my 2nd deck. I had multiple cards with red dots in the corner (I believe which indicate I own them) but couldn't drag/drop any of them into the deck slots. I hard-killed the app and went back in but it wouldn't let me do anything. I couldn't go back. I couldn't switch decks. I eventually figured out that the game wanted me to add 5 SPECIFIC cards to my deck, but the Card Collection is so un-intuitive, I almost gave up completely.
      2. The Card Collection manager needs work.
      - Why are all cards shown by default?
      - Why can't I filter by all cards I own?
      - Where does it show you what the card borders mean outside of the one time it shows you in the tutorial?
      - The distinction between cards I own and cards I don't own is not terrific. Cards I don't own are lightly faded, but not quite enough.
      - What's the difference between the Districts, is that what they are called? Do I get synergy by using cards from the same grouping? If not, what's the point? Why not show me ALL the gold cards I own instead of having to click the tiny icons (and I do mean tiny icons) at the top of the screen? Would a rarity sort be better served there?
      3. I played a few matches. Won them easily. Have I basically experienced everything the game has to offer?
      4. What does "A" mean on a card? It's not explained in the tutorial. I learned it beats a 9... but that begs the question, is there a "B" on any cards?

      Other than that, works great. Matchmaking didn't take too long and I really enjoy the music. Stealing cards from the opponent is so satisfying.

      yup, i dont own an iOS device, so to those who own an iOS device, hope u guys have fun.

      Hi all, as we noted in our updates - Android will be the next target platform. Due to limited resources, we're being careful with what to take on at such an early stage. Rest assured we'll keep you guys updated.

      Any plans for Windows or Android ?

      Awesome to hear you're at this stage! Just a shame I don't have anything to try the beta out on, but everyone who tries it out I hope it's as good as it looks :)
