About this project
Rise of the Beasts! Series 1.
Rise of the Beasts is a new collectible offering in the spirit of classic 80's toylines like M.U.S.C.L.E., Battle Beasts, He-Man and Thundercats! Savage Beasts that radiate power combine with ancient technology long lost to modern man. Whether you are a fan of mini-monos or small painted, articulated figures, you will LOVE these figures!
Series 1 consists of 4 figures - A Lion, a Gorilla, a Horned Toad and a Komodo Dragon. The first 3 beast's heroic body styles were partially inspired by classic toy lines like Thundercats, Sectaurs and Masters of the Universe. The 4th is suggestive of the fantastic Battle Beasts line with its squat, muscular proportions. Series 1 will be made of PVC (like M.U.S.C.L.E.s, Battle Beasts, etc.), approximately 60mm tall, available in both painted and non-painted formats, with a weapon and joints at the shoulders. Here are a few images showing the figures.
The Lion will be cast in white PVC. For the painted version, the armor will be charcoal gray with red highlights. His hair will, of course, be yellow.
The Gorilla will be cast in black PVC. For the painted version, the armor will be red with black highlights.
The Horned Toad will be cast in red PVC. For the painted version, the armor will be black with yellowish highlights.
The shorter Komodo Dragon will be cast in a dark green PVC. For the painted version, the armor will be bronze.
These figures are AWESOME! and will be even more incredible once they are home with you on your toy shelf! So let's make this project a success! Spread the word and let's try to not only fund Series 1 but fund enough to get Series 2 going as well.
Updates can be found here via this Kickstarter page and also at the LittleRubberGuys.com message board.
The pledge field is editable. For example, if you pledge $45, then you can edit the field to add the additional $20 shipping costs applicable to you pledge item. If you have already submitted your pledge, you can click the "manage your pledge" button and then add the appropriate $ amount to your pledge. For example, if you have chosen the $45 reward level, just manually change your pledge amount to $65 ($45 + $20).
If you would like to pick up multiple rewards, choose the larger of the two rewards and edit the pledge $ amount to reflect the cost of both pledges and then send me a message and I will make a note of your choices on the back end. If you are international, there will be a shipping cost savings for multiple rewards, so when you message me, I can give you an accurate total.
For example. If you are in the UK and you choose to get the $45 level and the $55 level, instead of $140 ($45 + $20 +$55 + $20) you would only be paying $120 ($45 +$55 + $20).
If the project is successful, we anticipate having the figures in hand in late July. As soon as the figures are received, we will begin shipping them out to you.
If you are in the USA or Canada, your figures will ship via Priority Mail.
If you are outside the US, your figures will ship via 1st Class Mail International. If you are international and would like a faster shipping method (Priority Mail, EMS) we can definitely accommodate you. You would need to pay the difference between the shipping paid via Kickstarter and the actual cost of the priority or express mail shipping.
