Frequently Asked Questions
Kickstarter is a crowdfunding web where entrepreneurs publish their business projects to get money to be able to carry them out. Thanks to the contributions of friends, family and followers they are able to start their project. People who financially contribute to the project are known as “sponsors” or “backers”.
In exchange to their contribution, the bakers receive rewards from the company that publishes the project. Normally those “rewards” are the product they have created with a large discount on their future retail price. That way, the bakers get the product much cheaper and before it is launched to the market. In our case, you will save up to €19 when pledging for one LABFRESH t-shirt, but even more when you pledge for rewards that include multiple products.
Cool fact: The t-shirts will be yours before they are available on the market, so you will be among the first to wear them.Last updated:
On Kickstarter you can get our t-shirts for discounted prices, compared to the final price, so you will save money when contributing now.
- Savings and Discounts
Savings go up from €19 for one LABFRESH t-shirt to €401 for 20 (the Wholesale Pack) t-shirts.

- Before they are launched to the market
The t-shirts will be yours before they are available on the market, so you will be among the first to wear them. After the fundraising campaign the t-shirts will be available on the market via our online store.Last updated:
This you need to do when the Kickstarter campaign is finished. You will receive an email from us in which you have to select the right size and colour. The email will contain a clear and elaborate size chart to make sure you select the right size.
It is possible to choose different sizes in your orderLast updated:
When the Kickstarter campaign ends, we will need approximately two and a half months to manufacture and send the t-shirts. You will be updated during the whole process and we will be available to answer all your questions. You will receive the t-shirts July the latest.Last updated:
Yes, we use chemicals. But no harsh chemicals.
We don’t dip our fabric in big tubs of chemicals. Instead of traditional coatings we press a paste directly into the fibers, so that the surface remains unaffected. The fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified and in accordance with the REACH, which is the strictest standard for use of chemicals in textiles in the world.
It’s so safe so our scientists literally use their mouths during the development process (as can be seen in the photo on the campaign page).Last updated:
We guarantee that the t-shirt will hold its unique features up to 50 washes, when care instructions are followed.
But the main take out here is: wear more, wash less, buy less.
The less you wash the t-shirt the longer it will last. The silver particles that are woven into the yarn kill all bacteria, keeping the t-shirt clean and fresh and allowing you to wear it for more days than traditional t-shirt.Last updated:
Our t-shirt sizes range from extra small (XS) up to triple extra large (3XL)Last updated:
Yes, without a doubt!
Sharing our project with friends, family and your social networks will not only help us reach our goal, but also create awareness for our cause: We want to fight fast fashion and over-consumption by creating products engineered to last a lifetime. True sustainability is when you can wear your clothing for years instead of buying new stuff all the time.
Thanks for helping us to make our mission a reality.Last updated:
You can wash the t-shirt in the same way as your other t-shirt. Because of the huge amounts of water and water pressure in the machine the t-shirt will still get wet. The t-shirt is not 100% hydrophobic and can get wet. If it would be 100% hydrophobic it will feel like a rain jacket and will lose the natural look and feel.Last updated:
A couple of things:
- Nano sprays often have quite strong and harmful chemicals.
- Our technology is pressed deeply into the fibers of the fabric. Because of this the technology also last for many washes.Last updated:
The t-shirt is just as breathable as any other t-shirt. The technology is pressed into the yarns and doesn't seel of the whole fabric, only the yarns. Air can still go through the fabric even if water can't.Last updated:
Never say never but it's not in the plan for now. As a young startup, you need to focus.
The t-shirts can of course be worn by women. If you are ok with a loose/normal fit then we recommend taking one size smaller than your usual size.Last updated:
