I hope that the future scenario of the game will be the height of the first game, with a lot of dialogue
Adding portugese subtitles shouldn`t be a very expensive task and that would add Brazil and of course Portugal (where else is it spoken by the way?) to BS5 marketing area. But then again, there are a lot more languages too that could be subtitled so I think the game designers just must draw the line somewhere. And at the moment their limit is seven languages.
@Moddx: oh cool, didn't saw that! thanks! that's great then!
@Martins - I don't think they did. Portugese isn't isted in the last minute FAQ's below (Update 24).
you wrong. they put portuguese subtitles Bruno...
Oh man, it´s a shame that with almost 800k Revolution will not add portuguese in the subtitles.
That is the only thing that I´m disappointed about Broken Sword 5.
Some people think: Oh, but you will have spanish, is like equal. But is not.
So, we still have time =). Brazil has a great market to the games. When we have games in our language they are a huge sucess here. And I think will not be expensive to insert this in the project, right? Please, think about it Revolution!
@david check this link :)
I don't want to be a moodbreaker or something but I read: "$771,560 PLEDGED"
So I don't really understand you guys saying "congratz for reaching 800k" and stuff...
My heartfelt congratulations to Charles & the whole team! Waiting for April will be sweet torture but I know it'll be worth it. There's a reason these games are so loved by us fans & it's entirely to do with the artistry & skill of everyone at Revolution, past & present. Now, back to the salt mines, code monkeys! ;)
Congratulations on reaching that 800K stretch goal, Charles and the Rev team! I've enjoyed meeting each and every one of you in these updates and in the comments (though I do mostly just lurk).
I am looking forward to an amazing game. Realizing your wildest ambitions means realizing our wildest dreams for BS5 - it will be epic. And if you give us a few months to allow our wallets and bank accounts to recover a little, I think you can safely count on most of us to be back for a Beneath a Steel Sky 2 Kickstarter. Well done, all of you at Revolution! And well done, all of us backers!
My congratulations for this huge success Charles!
Glad to be part of it and now keep up the good work, can't wait to get my hands on the rewards and, of course, the game!
Thank you Charles!
Congrats on being funded Charles and the Revolution Team! I was surprised to see that we had the same childhood too. Me and my family grew up in Congo when it was called Zaire and we also had to flee in the late 80s/early 90s when troubles started to happen. We lived in France after that.
Always been a huge fan of Broken Sword. Keep up the good work guys!
with regards to shaolin soccer, if i remember, there is a game based on that, but it was only available in chinese.
Also, has anyone tried inazuma eleven? It's also another fantasy soccer game where everyone is able to kick fireballs, move like the wind and etc and etc.
@Michael: nope, in the comments Tony said all of the money pledged here and through PP goes to BS.

well done on being totally funded
Charles, I do believe that your team of elite Knight Masters and Seneschals are looking forward, eagerly, to being a part of that creative process! This is a new dawn for studio development... less design by committee, and more a benevolent dictatorship :-) Fiefdom, perhaps?
I still hope for BASS2. Basically it was the only reason why I've backed BS5. Too bad it didn't reeched 1m.
Congratulations to everybody!!!! We'll be able to see BS 5 in it's full glory now. I think I'll be looking to the calendar everyday now 'till the game releases. And it's so good to hear that Revolution will be able to work without any pressure... man, this game is going to kick some major a**!!
good work guys. i am so happy that we have reached over 800K. Looking forward to the best BS ever!!!!! :)
@Tobi -> YES :) But there is $19,000 already in the "BASS2 Greenlight Fund" :)
Congrats, Charles. Looking forward to seeing Pearl, Duane, the goat, and all your wildest ambitions realized for BS5. ;)
félicitations!!! we did it!!
@Michael -> new kickstarter for BASS2 *drool*
Congratulations!!! :) All stretch goals (except BASS 2) are reached :)
@Federic,the guy on the left is Tony Warriner.
Hopefully Barrington will be back to BS again, and BS 2 will get a score release.
BASS 2 with Dave Cummins!
BaSS 2 please, please (with Dave Gibbons!) ;-)
Time to push for 1m? ;)
Won't be easy to implement those "wildest ambitions" for an april release now :) But we can always hope til then!
Wow, crazy! We passed the 800.000 mark!
Can't wait! Thank you for a wonderful campaign.
Quite a hectic youth I'd say! AND the guy on the left reminds me of Shia Lebouf :D
Please do keep the updates coming even after KS finished :)
Only minutes to go!
I´ve been impressed by the quality of this campaign so even if I had seconds thought about pledging what I considered quite some cash, I looked back at the goodies and forgot about it. Kickstarter is hosting a great comeback for the best in Adventures.
I´m loving every moment of this.
Love the photo - Reservoir Goats! :D
I'm glad this kickstarter campaign allow you to make BS5.
As you said, the next six months are going to be amazing. Oooh yes. Amazing!
For us too !
Thanks Charles, you are a legend!
It's kinda cool that I'm also going to the same Uni that you went to, whilest living in Yorkshire :-)
Agree with all the sentiments here... can't wait to see what you come up with!
Hello Charles ;
Thank you for Revolution's own investment into BS5 and for making the past BS series ;
Btw the picture used in the interview reminds me of a headmaster and some of his pupils in Grange Hill.
Charles I think everyone has said it enough times, but it won't hurt me saying it again - the incredible past month is a reflection on yourself and the fantastic team you've formed. At that and to hitting 800k, congratulations, and thank you!

I agree Shaolin Soccer wouldn't work as a game. ;)
Thanks for taking the time to give us these "meet the Team" updates though, it's been great t read!
A lucky man!
That was very interesting indeed. Thank you for sharing so much :)
But why making a new Broken Sword while you could do a Shaolin Soccer game !? I don't get it, Kung fu is super, Kung fu is great… :P
Nice to 'meet' you, Charles!
