Wow! You guys are AMAZING!

Wow! Everyone here at Revolution is totally blown away by the amazing response and the affection of the comments posted! In less than a day, we have nearly managed to reach 40% of our target! A few people have asked for an indication of the final look for the characters - this is what we currently have, although we are still working on our graphics technology.

Thank you so much for your support!

I love the style, very good graphics.

    2. Andrew Hadland on August 29, 2012

Location location location more of these please and after that characters. The world map idea is great and having more characters to interact with will make those locations more intresting even if the dialogue is pointless to the story. It stops the game being too linear. I would leave console editions as a long term stretch goal as its crucial to get the PC version right as that is where the hardcore fans of the game are. Wasn't keen on the easter eggs been in. Thanks for all your hard work at revolution for making this game happen and its great to feel that through kickstarter we are all helping to create it. Although its vital that you guys decide whats best for the game.

To David: it was a ghost of Khan? So many times I played this game and I always thought it was just a ghost.

      Wait, people WANT death sequences?

Guess I'll make a mental note: Save OFTEN.

I have to say I also would rather like to see true 2D-characters as seen in parts 1 and 2. I do love the backgrounds, but this pseudo-3D-characters (no offense) just don't look nice to me.

    7. Hayley Morris on August 27, 2012

it's nice that he would give you a million if he won. I'm sure many of us would reciprocate with that one.

Excusez-moi... Vous n'auriez pas vu un clown?

Each day I watch the video and each day I'm more excited!

Si je gagne à l'euro millions je vous en donne un (million)!

Hopefully there will also be the old German speaker synchronously

    21. Peter Hoogeveen on August 25, 2012

I am over the moon about the fact that you are making another stunningly beautiful hand drawn 2D world.
The art in the BS games is, in my opinion, right up there with the best I've seen in this kind of game genre.
Keep up the awesome work guys!

    22. Grimmy on August 25, 2012

Wasn't keen on the close up of George's face but this looks great.

    23. JJ - Order of the Goat on August 25, 2012

It really is lovely to see George in blue jeans.

    24. elmuerte on August 25, 2012

Great that you're planning to improve the characters. I will up my pledge if the characters are rendered 2D and thus fit more into the style of the background.

The Broken Sword games have always been excellent in my eyes and provided me with many hours of entertainment over the years. I had no hesitation in pledging to help the development of such a great series.

    26. Darren Singleton - Order of the Goat on August 25, 2012

I pledged $100 as i really really want the boxed copy and the other stuff! I only wish i had ten grand to get the Grand Master pack! Roll on April 2013, and well done with everything

I stopped playing videogames a few years ago... however, when I heard of that project, I didn't think too much before pledging a few money... Hope The Serpent's Curse will come true!

    28. Risto Myyrylainen on August 25, 2012

I just love Broken Sword series and this project have to come true. I trust this project 110%.

    29. Minsc&Boo on August 24, 2012

I would pledge more money (currently $15) if I could pledge for a signed poster or t-shirt and just the game - nothing else. Other than that well done and hope you reach 200% or more. Cheers.

      This MUST be Emmanuel!

    32. Tony Q. on August 24, 2012

I'm so happy!!! I had great moments with George!
If you could choose Emmanuel Curtil for the french voice of Georgie Stobby it would be fantastic!!!

      I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!

    37. Michael McCarthy on August 24, 2012

I didn't have to think twice about supporting this, the BS games have been favourites since their first appearance. Loving what I've seen so far & cannot wait to play the finished game! My heartfelt thanks to Charles & the team for bringing this franchise back - good luck, folks!

Awesome! I think George's face needs to be softer, he looks a little hard faced!

    39. ET3D on August 24, 2012

The fluidity of the character animation really impressed me.

    40. Gary Chisholm on August 24, 2012

Congratulations Charles and the team; great effort so far. I have such fond memories as a kid of the first two broken sword games ever since I chased that clown down the sewer in Paris. Broken Sword 2 was the first game I bought with my own money, saving up all through the summer holidays just to see what adventures George and Nico would be playing - 15 years later and I'm just as excited as I was when I was 11.

    41. Richard Lamplough on August 24, 2012

Cant wait to play it, been waiting for an old school Broken Sword game for years ^^

    42. Abel GC on August 24, 2012

I personally like the 3D characters here, they look better than in BS3 or BS4

    43. SoulLifter on August 24, 2012

I also would prefer the 2-D character animation of the first two games. The 3-D character animation doesn't look bad, but I prefer the 2-D look.

    44. Jason Stillion on August 24, 2012

Looking forward to this, bought the Broken Sword series from and loved them. Looking forward to this game.

    45. Gabriel Goldsztajn on August 24, 2012

The first Broken Sword was one of the last adventure games I played, and certainly is one of my top give adventure games ever. With my interest in adventure gaming rekindled by the various projects in here, I am extremely happy to support companies like yours, that provided me with so many fond memories.

As for looks, both the video and this screen look great, but the faces are missing a lot of expressiveness at this stage. Since you guys are re-adopting the 2D look, I think you should try to further match characters to their looks on the first and second games in the series.

Can't wait for the game!!! Huge fan of the series from the very start!
The background and everything look exquisite as always!
However, in my opinion, the 3D models there are a little to clean, to plain.
I would prefer real 2D anyway, but I guess you won't change that back now that you have come so far..
Anyways, looking forward to a new excellent entry in the series!

    47. Simon Brown on August 24, 2012

I also grew up playing broken sword. I remember back in the days when we got our first computer running Windows 95 and along with it came this demo disc full of games, one of them being broken sword shadow of the templars. Ever since I've loved every broken sword and missed the 2D animations so it totally made my day to hear of the new broken sword 5 AND in 2D. Can't wait!!!
