WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all of your generous contributions, we reached our goal of $50,000 just moments ago!!!!!!!!!  You probably all heard the screams of excitement coming from my house, and hopefully you're all equally excited by this amazing accomplishment!!!!!!!  Gail, Mr. Armstrong and I shared one vision and goal for this film...and that was to educate our youth so that this history would never be forgotten or repeated.  With your support, that dream can now become a reality.  The Barber of Birmingham can now be distributed to schools, libraries and non-profit organizations nationwide!  I am deeply deeply grateful to each and every one of you.

I'd also like to give a huge heartfelt thank you to Elliott Kennerson and Carlo Flores who created the beautiful Kickstarter video, as well as Tonia Hurst who worked endless hours creating, managing and driving our Kickstarter campaign....and brought us across the finish line...and her amazing husband Steve who has also worked countless hours helping to obtain clearances for the music so carefully chosen by Gail and myself for the film. A big thank you also to Gail's beautiful daughter, Amelia, who is our amazing graphic designer and her wonderful husband Ben, both of whom have very special places in my heart; Abby Ginzberg, our Consulting Producer and our Executive Producers Julie Parker Benello, Wendy Ettinger and Judith Helfand of Chicken & Egg Pictures, all of whom have supported 'The Barber' in ways too numerous to list.  Thank you also to my sons, Josh and Chris, and all of my family and friends who I can always count on for encouragement and support. I am deeply grateful to Mr. Armstrong's children and grandchildren who have helped bring their father and grandfather's message to audiences around the country, and continue to carry on Mr. Armstrong's legacy.

I could go on and on listing people who have dedicated their time, talent and resources to the success of this project...and I am thankful for each and every one of you!

On behalf of the entire 'BARBER' team, thank you all for believing in this film and contributing to the success of this Kickstarter campaign!!!!!!!!!!!!!
