Monday Update

Hello Backers,

We continue to work very hard to finish shipping out the last of the International RigidBot rewards. As many of you know we have been trying to ship from China directly to the international locations. Due to complications of coordination with China Post / FedEx and cash flow it has been very difficult getting machines out. So we have decided to ship all of the international machines back to the USA via container. The container left China December 2nd and arrived in Long Beach on the 18th of December. (Container Number AKLU6001245) It has now arrived in Salt Lake City as of Dec 29th and I am waiting for the trucking company to deliver to us in Springville.

Once the machines arrive to our facility in Springville we will handle them mach easier without the communication and coordination problems we were having in China. Your RigidBot is already boxed with your name on it, ready to ship. You can have your RigidBot shipped to you by doing the FedEx upgrade. Shipments will be processed within 1-2 business days.

We will provide the necessary information once we receive the container from Salt Lake City.

Here is a little information of where we are at with Kickstarter and post kickstarter fulfillment.

Kickstarter:

  • 86% shipped - 2134 boxes have been shipped out of 2483 
  • 349 boxes to be shipped 

Post Kickstarter (try celery pre-sales):

  • 82% shipped - 389 boxes have been shipped out of 474 
  • 85 boxes to be shipped. 

Website – The new Invent-A-Part website is almost ready and will be launched in beta mode in February 2015. The website will provide an easy avenue for purchasing any replacement parts for your RigidBot. The website will also have the RigidBot resource center which will include: 

  • Online help videos 
  • Assembly instructions 
  • Operations manual 
  •  Frequently asked questions / helpful tips 
  • Latest RigidBot Firmware 
  • Helpful stl files for download

      With the help of my lawyer i've got my money back 3 month ago. IAP ignored me until then.
      So if you really want your printer OR money... maybe you'll have to contact a lawyer in the U.S. and sue them.

      How I can make FedEx upgrade (to Kazakhstan, no changes in address) suggested by you? By the way, we have no problems/additional payments/etc. with FedEx in Kazakhstan, for items cost less than 1,000 Euro (per month) for personal use. === Askar Aryngazin, Kazakhstan.

      Hi! Say me please exactly - can russian backers receive their printers without additional payments? When printers will sent to Russia? FedEx option is not good for 2 reasons:
      1. custom troubles (there is probably no troubles in case usual post)
      2. additional payments.

      So that means, i have to pay for the fedex upgrade to get my rigidbot sent? Otherwise i won't get my rigidbot, or will i just have to wait longer for arrival?

      I must say, having the rigidbot "In stock ready to ship." as stated on your website is a real slap in the face to people such as myself who are still waiting on their kickstarter reward version.

      Michael,
      I think my RB box is in Springville now (#6155 invoice #101746).
      So I ask you to send my box to my friends in USA. I have tried to send information about address of my friends to Kae, but it is limit of opened tickets. I can send address of my friends to you.
      I have paid $90 for international shipment, so I think this sum is enough to move my kit from Springville to my friends in USA. My friends will send my RB kit to me and I will think my case with my RB will be finished correctly.

      as others have asked, you make it seem like Fedex is the only option, i already paid for shipping in my pledge and cant afford to dole out more money, will my Rigidbot not get shipped then?

      Vasiliy Subbotin, You mean customs clearance talking about? Or about the fact that FedEx does not deliver to Russia? If the latter, then they pass another shipping company, for example SPSR.

      Is FedEx the only delivery option? They don't deliver anything to private persons in Russia, so all Russian backers won't be able to receive their kits. It would be much better if you sent the kits via USPS.

      No fairytales anymore, just be blunt in your wording. I am not sure I'd be willing to pay a Damn cent more for this disaster.

      Funny. I thought I had already paid for a FedEx upgrade in June. Nothing yet. I guess FedEx decided to take the scenic route in my case.

      Addendum: does this mean that batch #5 has completely and batch #6 partially been shipped by CP?

      Just asking because I added Up the numbers and there are a total of 476 packages in batch 6 -9 ...

      I'm a backer and in the US. I was not able to pay for shipping durring the time we were supposed to, and have not received any response to several emails about this. How can I pay for the shipping and receive my printer?

      Nice to know that you are still shipping out kits.

      Now when are you going to start responding to support emails regarding a faulty kit, one of the very first you shipped?
