Olympus: An Original Orchestral Album
By Jon Adamich
Join me in finishing my fantasy orchestral album based on the Greek Gods.
My lifelong dream is to create an orchestral album that brings to life the imagery and emotion of the Greek Gods of Mythology. You’ll feel the wrath of Poseidon, the ruthless warrior of the seas contrasted to Hestia the always veiled, shy goddess.
Featured is the opening track of my album entitled “The Passage to Olympus” that begins our journey up Mt Olympus where we will soon encounter Zeus, the King of the Gods. But I need funds to complete this lofty quest that can only come to life when overlaid with solo instrumentalists and vocalists, commercial mastering, plus the typical expenses associated with the production of an album. These would include CD printing, design of the liner notes, poster development, etc. The attaining of a stretch goal (STRETCH GOAL: $25,000) would then encompass the ability to record with a full string orchestra. As of now, I am using virtual instruments (think of realistic synths), though they do not capture the realism of a live performance. As strings are one of the most important aspects in this album, a string orchestra recording will truly bring this album to life!
Different than most Kickstarter projects, you will be joining me on the journey with supporters being provided private links to follow my daily progress on the album that will include tributes to 12 Greek Gods like Zeus, Apollo, Dionysus, Poseidon, Aphrodite, Hestia, Hades, Athena, Ares and Hermes.
Please listen to my music at the top and if you feel it captures the energy of a quest to visit the Gods, your pledge will be used to help fund the completion of the album.
At least listen and enjoy!
About the Composer
After attending the Cornish College of the Arts for Classical Music Composition, Jon Adamich was hired by multiple production houses to score television and movie trailers. Although now a successful Cinematic Composer, Jon is now at a juncture where he wants to break-away from the development of generic pieces and create his own albums that reflect both his skill set and passion for Fantasy music.
Jon’s short term goal is the continued development of his own albums in the Fantasy genre and long term to start a premier Fantasy Music Library.
Risks and challenges
Risks and Challenges
One of the unique features of our project is the ability of supporters to monitor the daily progress that has been made on the album scores, while also giving any comments and ideas they might have. There is a risk that I will periodically experience creative blocks that may appear that I am not making progress, Supporters must realize that music composition is truly a journey.
The main challenge in creating my first solo production album is the amount of time and energy it takes to complete. My current effort of writing production music for a company is a full time commitment and doesn't allow me to explore my full creative potential. The beauty of Kickstarter is when the goal is met, I'll be able to focus all my time and creativity into my vision.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
