Sounds of Stow Spring Concert
Thank you first for your support. We are nearly 2/3 of the way to our goal with currently $925 raised and still 4 weeks left. I'm very confident we will reach our goal, and hopefully much earlier than our deadline.
The Sounds of Stow just had their Spring concert this past Sunday, performing Mendelssohn, a regional premiere of a work by Bob Chilcott, and Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No.2. I'm currently in Nebraska at an artist residency so I couldn't attend, but Barbara Jones, the music director, emailed me and told me "it was just amazing! The chorus was very well prepared, and I felt as if I was just channeling directly from the soloists to the orchestra to the chorus, in one wonderful loop -- a terrific feeling. The Mendelssohn and Chilcott complemented each other well, and the orchestra played with great sensitivity. Then the Shostakovich concerto just brought the house down!"
Take a look at the nice write-up they received in the Boston Globe prior to the concert .
