This seven-channel graphic equalizer outputs an array of analog values to any Arduino-compatible microcontroller. These values correspond to seven frequency ranges, and can be used to control any part of your project. From light-up displays to robot bands to dancing 3D models, this board makes it simple to integrate music and sound with your imagination!
Efficiency - Uses only two digital pins, one analog pin, and about two dozen lines of code.
Seven Channel Response - Frequency ranges from 63hz - 16Khz
Individual Testing - To ensure that your project goes smoothly, every chip we ship will be tested in an actual project with actual music.
Example Code - Example code is provided for several projects, including large-scale graphic equalizers, color blending LED strips, and channel averaging for even larger projects.

Includes a Printed Circuit Board, Tested MSGEQ7 Chip, DIP Terminal, Header Pins, and support hardware. We provide everything you need - you just provide the soldering skills!
$12 - Assembled Breakout Board
A single tested and assembled MSGEQ7 Breakout Board, ready for integration into any of your projects.
$25 - Maker's Kit
Includes an MSGEQ7 Breakout Board, 2.5mm Audio Jack - to - Breadboard converter cable, and 1 meter (30 LEDS) of WS2812B "NeoPixel" RGB LED Strips - everything you need to build your own Arduino-powered Graphic Equalizer, or any number of sound-responsive lighting projects!
Risks and challenges
The MSGEQ7 Breakout Board has already been designed and tested, and production proofs are in-hand. Suppliers have been identified and orders are ready to be placed.
MSGEQ7 chips do suffer from quality control issues. Our project has assumed a 20% failure rate to ensure financial security.
