Profitable, Sustainable and Environmentally Sound Livestock.
A training manual on how to use livestock to improve and rebuild the environment.
There are 88 million head of cattle in the USA. Now, imagine if we could use them as a tool to rebuild the environment.
That is a powerful resource to use. Most people think livestock are destructive to the environment. It's not the livestock that are the problem but the management of the livestock.
Ranching is a low income business which forces cattlemen to make a dollar in any way they can to survive. The result of this is usually damaging the environment by pushing it beyond sustainability.
Methods exist that can help cattlemen increase their profitability while managing their operation in an environmentally beneficial way. Past and present research has lead to better methods but too often this information is not getting out to the public.
This project is a book outlining multiple methods of raising livestock in a way that is profitable, sustainable, and environmentally sound. I regularly hold seminars on these methods but can only reach a small audience.
A book will allow me to get the information to more people. This book will involve photographs and diagrams describing the methods with real-life success stories to exemplify the concepts. I will sell the books on Amazon, eBay and my website to generate revenue to help me continue my educational activities. I will also donate copies to libraries to make the information available without cost.

I'm not much of an artist when it comes to charts and diagrams but I have some friends who do web design so I may have to tap their talents. I'm not a writer either but I know an author who can teach me the basics of desktop publishing.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
