HELLO CLASS!! For over ten years now, I (real name Gregory Alexander) have "portrayed" Professor Moptop on WXRT's Breakfast with the Beatles in Chicago! The Professor teaches college level Beatle knowledge designed for people who are familiar with the band, as well as novices who know very little. We ALL wanna know more!
After accumulating TONS of information, I have written a book all about the band from day 1, until the end of 1964, an extremely fascinating time for not just The Fab Four, but for the world of music as well as history.
Now that I have all of my thoughts and findings together, its time to print, edit, index and share, and this is a really spendy process!! This is where YOU can help! (y'know... with a little help from my friends!!!)
After all is said and done, it's gonna cost juuuust around $ 4,500 to get this collection of words into a physical, readable holdable book, I'm shaving off a bit so I can make the goal $4,489.09 so it could end in a 909.
The Moptop team has come up with some great stuff to give away for various levels of donations and together we can all learn a lot about something we love .
Throughout the process I look forward to sharing news and updates on the "what's going on" of the project as we gear up to launch this book!!!!
I love knowledge, music, and Beatles, and I love sharing what I gain, in the hopes of making the world just a half a step better! Thanks for you!!! Professor Moptop (Gregory Alexander)
Risks and challenges
I do know that the market of Beatle books is already a fairly over saturated one, but many books of this nature (historical and philosophical) become a much more complete story with perspective and time, and even in a well known field of knowledge, there are always "new" ways to look at the Beatles.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
