Google Play on Feb 5th; Desktop Image Rewards
Great news, the Google Play version of Buddy & Me will be launching worldwide next week, on Wednesday, February 5th. Thanks everyone for your patience, we’re so excited to be finished!
It’s a significant milestone for us on so many levels. In particular, it means we can once again shift our resources from the technical difficulties of porting, and back towards fun gameplay features to enrich the experience. We can’t wait to see what comes next.
But in the meantime, mark your calendars, get ready, and help us spread the word!
“Desktop Image Pack” Rewards
For everyone who pledged at the $18 Tier or above, we’ve been long overdue in delivering exclusive Desktop Images for your PC, Mac or mobile devices. So, we’ve just set up a special part of our website for you… we’ll be sending you a message later today with instructions on how to obtain them.
In the meantime, we’ve also been updating our website a little bit, which includes adding a couple additional desktop images to the Buddy & Me projects page:

Buddy & Me at Power of Play
We had a great time showing off Buddy & Me at last week’s Power of Play event in Redmond, WA. In attendance were fellow Washington-area indie developers, and representatives from some of the biggest companies in the industry: Nintendo, Microsoft, Valve, Facebook, Intel, Amazon, and others. We even had a special banner made just for the occasion:
Our next step is to see if we can’t find a way to show off the game at GDC, PAX, and other upcoming 2014 industry events with an indie or mobile game presence.
That’s about it for now… in the next week, we’ll be focusing on contacting press about the Google Play launch. Afterwards, expect a few more updates to wrap up our Kickstarter and reflect back on the whole process. Stay tuned!
