Happy for you and the awesome news! I can't wait to get my copy of the book, hopefully sooner rather than later.
Sara: Yes. I've posted a number of updates on the shipping process. I'm sending them out in waves, but can send faster for those willing to help with shipping. About a third have gone out so far.
Have people been receiving their hard copies yet? Just wondering on the shipping status.
Hi, I've moved since filling out the survey. Can I send you my new address?
Everything is so cool and the amount of time and effort being put forth to make this thing great, I'm glad to be apart of it.
The pdf looks good. It's working for me so far. Keep it up. I'm intrigued (and I'll call this money well spent).
Awesome!! So excited and and happy to see you received the funding. Can't wait to see the finished comic.
Congratulations on your successful funding! I look forward to the fuinished comics.
Can't wait to see the finished product, Larime!
Congratulations! And you doubted me when I hoped you'd hit $6,000. Guess we both were wrong. :-)
Good to see this funded! Congrats! :)
Thanks! Only 3 minutes left, though.
Really hope you reach $10,000. Found you through Gail Simone on Tumblr--great job capturing everyone's attention, your work is amazing!
Thank you both! This had been overwhelming!
I'm excited. I kept checking back to see if you made it over $9,000. I've already donated, re-blogged it on my tumblr and tweeted about it on my blog. I'm just all for this right now lol Good luck.
Congratulations on hitting $9000! I'm very excited to see how this comic turns out, I hope you can find a good publisher to pick it up - it's a fascinating plot, and your art is really good! Best of luck!
Bobby, Brian, Patrick, and Amy: Thank you guys so much!
A friend pointed this out to me. I really appreciate it when people overcome challenges and excel at something they are passionate about so I made a small pledge. This is the sort of project that Kickstarter excels at bringing to the attention of the public and I wish Larmie all the best. May it be a terrifically successful comic which brings even more success your way!
Aa a comics fan and fellow disabled person I'm proud to support this project. Thanks to Gail Simone for making me aware of it.
Very excited to see this project get the funding it needs, looking forward to seeing the progress!
Honestly, I've never been all that interested in comic books (mostly because they are so glaringly obvious in targeting male audiences) but when I saw the plot for this (and the awesome character designs!) I signed up to Kickstarter straight away so I could back this! I only wish I had the money to spare more than a measly $5. I really hope you get far with this project! Good luck! <3
Looking forward to reading it!
Carl: I could swear I posted a reply, but I guess it didn't go through. I've been telling people to add $5 to $10 to be safe. Thanks!
*project, not product XD
I found this product through Gail Simone's RT. Congrats on going above and beyond your stretch goal!!!
This looks great. Congrats on reaching all your stretch goals.
Please can you let me know how much to add for shipping to the UK.
Also another shout out to Neil Gaiman - I, lke Shannon, only found this project because of his RT.
Thank you so much! I was pleasantly shocked that he did that. Very nice of him. And I totally understand and appreciate your support!
I'm very excited for this. Congrats on your stretch goal. Won't deny that I found the link from a Neil Gaiman RT. Wish I could back with more money but just another poor artist here. Can't wait to see it.
Woo hoo, 3 prints for me! ;)
Grats on 5K! I'm really looking forward to reading this and hope it turns out to be a big success!
Asa: Ha! Thank you, but I doubt that!
Jules: Is SLG still around? I agree that thematically they might be a good fit, but they really weren't doing ongoing original series last I looked into them.
Congratulations on reaching $5,000! I bet you'll get another thousand in the next 30 hours.
I'm a lifelong comic dork and this looks like a really cool project! Female serial killer stories are rare, so I'm excited to see this come together! I know in you video you mentioned shopping this to Dark Horse and Image, which I think are both great ideas, but you might want to try Slave Labor Graphics, too. They ran Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and other darker stuff so they might pick yours up.
So glad to see this out there!
Just wanted to be sure! I'm not about to tell someone what's appropriate for their kid - every kid's different. I'm against hard ratings for the same reason. Instead of making something 'PG-13' or 'R', tell the parent what's in it. Violence gets away with PG-13 all the time, but a bad word or bare bottom and you get an R. It's ridiculous.
Oh, I gathered the content, heh, but I allow her to watch Dexter and many other shows similar so she'll be ok. I'm sure some won't approve that I allow it but she is an interesting child, lol, a bit more grown up than most. (she's 10, has been watching and read about crime from for a few years as she loves analyzing it and thinking about the reasons behind things).
I've shared on facebook and twitter, hope to get you to reach the $5k goal. Either way, looking forward to the end result.
Hey! Thank you! How old is she? It's not really intended for young readers as there will be violence, language, and so on.
Just stumbled on this and you're only 30 minutes from me. I'm not a huge comic person but I like the idea and the concept art so far and have a feeling this is something my daughter would enjoy. I wish you the best of luck! Have you had any press in the area? Press-Enterprise, SWRNN or patch?
Yeah. Anything left over will go towards new pens, paying bills, and general daily needs. We're pretty poor, so every bit helps!
I have a feeling you'll hit more than $5,000 in the end, which would be awesome because some of the extra money could go to art equipment, yes?
Getting close, isn't it?
No doubt in my mind...
3 days left and only $703 to go! I think $5000 might just be feasible, after all!
Oh, I'm biting my nails here. I'd love the three-in-one book. The art is looking better and better the more we see.
Not yet, but just maybe!
Onward to 3 issues in one!
Yep! It's been a huge help! Thank you, Newsarama, and everyone who pledged!
