A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
Package theft on the rise, we surveyed online over 1000 people and 72% of people had experienced package theft or had a neighbor who has.
Package theft not only steals our valuables but also steals our peace of mind!
We are LiLoE Labs, a home automation company the helps people Live, Love and Earn whats most important to them. And we believe technology should do the same thing. We made Jeffrie to address the real world problem of package theft and community safety!
That’s why we are partnering with neighborhoods and local police departments across the U.S. to reduce package theft crimes and improve overall community safety.
Aside from making a monetary contribution, you can helP by sharing this campaign with all your friends and family. Go ahead and post the campaign URL on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and any other social media platforms you may use. The more people know about Jeffrie, the better.
All contributions are greatly appreciated, and we applaud you for being proactive regarding your community safety.
The LiLoE Labs Team participated in the first ever Logistics Accelerator sponsored by FedEx. We travelled to Memphis, TN (FedEx’s Hq) for three months and had the opportunity to work with some of the best logistic professionals in the world.
In Memphis, we learned delivery companies are just as invested in solving the problem of stolen packages as well as reducing delivery attempts.
Redelivery attempts (not delivering the package on the first try) costs carriers $18billion/year
Depending on the circumstances the carrier or shipper may refund the stolen packages, however, regardless of the carrier’s responsibility they still incur cost for insurance and customer service costs to deal with claims.

Our team has a diverse set of backgrounds—ranging from military service and user interaction design, to AR/VR and consumer electronics, to industrial design and manufacturing. We also participated in the Logistics Accelerator Sponsored by FedEx and HAX—the world’s first and largest hardware accelerator, whose resources and mentorship we will have at our disposal beyond the campaign.
Thanks to our videographer Chase Bortz and photographer Natalia Bougadellis Thanks also to our friends from HAX, including Vue, RayBaby, Backbone, Tinsel, Loop, Pixl Play and SwapBots for their help and advice.
Risks and challenges
We were confident the first time around we can deliver on every promise we have made. Having actually delivered the Jeffrie to our grocery delivery partners for beta testing successfully once already, we know that we can pull this off without a hitch.
Our manufacturing and distribution partners are ready to move forward as soon as we hit our funding goals, so we will have no problem hitting any of our deadlines and getting you the Jeffrie in time for your next online shopping binge.
We also stand by Jeffrie, if for any reason your Jeffrie is stolen, damaged or fails on its security promise...We will replace your Jeffrie or give you a full refund. Thats the Jeffrie Lifetime Warranty exclusive to Kickstarter.
