The Grain Scoop is the ultimate all-purpose utility attachment. It’s easy to wear out your wrist and arm with repeated lifting of a normal grain scoop, especially if the load is heavy. We’ve solved that problem with our attachment being locked into our patented ergonomic handle. Now you can do a whole host of tasks and chores without the stress and strain. Load up our Grain Scoop attachment with: Grain, corn, and chicken feed · Potting soil · Fine compost · Bird seed · Grass seed · Fertilizer · Rock salt and other ice melt · Pea gravel · Sand · Mortar mix · Charcoal brickettes
The Transplant Divider is the perfect tool for precision transplanting or dividing of delicate perennials. The size and shape is designed to slice cleanly through roots. The handle gives you power to push through the soil and leverage to pry the plant out of the ground. Now, you can even divide plants (like Hosta) during the growing season without crushing their foliage. A regular shovel requires you to step on it to get power (smashing the leaves), and a trowel is usually too small (no power). The Transplant Divider attachment is just right for anyone who wants to be a fine gardener.
Garden Smarter, Not Harder
The Mulch Fork & Spade is an ergonomically designed one-arm gardening multi-tool for applying mulch and compost. It has an interchangeable spade attachment that makes it the perfect planting tool for perennials and annuals. Whether you are a backyard gardener or a professional landscape designer, the Mulch Fork & Spade is designed to relieve back and wrist strain typically inflicted from traditional gardening tools.
For anyone who struggles with the awkward and frustrating chore of mulching or composting their garden, The Mulch Fork & Spade brings ease and finesse because of its smart ergonomic design that allows for easy one-arm operation. The spade attachment provides incredible leverage and power to dig while keeping your wrist in a comfortable position for planting perennials and annuals.

Q: I’m left handed. Can I still use The Mulch Fork?
A: Yes, absolutely. It works equally well with either hand. That makes it convenient if you get a little tired and want to switch hands, or you need access in tight spaces to mulch with your other hand.
Q: I have a very short forearm. How do I know if The Mulch Fork is the right size for me?
A: The Mulch Fork comes in one size that was designed for nearly all men and women. The unique design accommodates both short and long forearms.
Q: Will I still need a regular long-handle pitchfork to do my mulching or composting?
A: It depends. If you have mulch delivered in bulk, then a regular pitchfork is still a useful tool for moving it from the pile into a wheelbarrow. You can use The Mulch Fork exclusively to extract mulch or compost from the wheelbarrow to apply in your garden. It’s just so much easier. If you buy mulch in bags, you may not need a regular pitchfork again. The Mulch Fork can easily extract mulch right out of the bag, or better yet, empty your bags into a wheelbarrow and lift the mulch from there.
Q: How much faster can I apply mulch with The Mulch Fork?
A: Because it is so much more maneuverable, you should find that The Mulch Fork is a lot faster than using a regular long-handled pitchfork (especially out of a wheelbarrow). I should save you a lot of time and effort if you’re moving a lot of mulch. Plus, being able to apply exactly where you want it in the first time, saves a ton of time by not having to unbury plants or pull mulch away from tree trunks and shrub branches.
Q: How much can you really lift with just one arm?
A: We’ve found that a man or women of average strength can easily lift a full heaping scoop of mulch or compost (even if wet). The ergonomic handle presses comfortably against your forearm and creates powerful lifting leverage. Plus, your wrist is positioned in a powerful posture that takes full advantage of your arm strength. A full scoop load of mulch weighs approximately 5 lbs.
Q: Will I be able to lift fine textured compost without it falling through the forks?
A: Yes. We designed the tines to be close enough to hold compost very effectively. Also, you’ll be able to turn your compost pile even if it’s inside a tight bin because of The Mulch Fork’s compact size and maneuverability.
Q: What if I find that I really don’t like it. Can I return it?
A: Yes. We are offering a full one-year guarantee. We want you to be thrilled with it.
Q: How hard is it to change the different head attachments?
A: The treaded collar is fairly easy to screw on and off. There is a metal tongue insert that fits into the handle that gives it stability and reinforcement. Although it is not as quick-changing as a battery powered toothbrush for example, it only takes about 45 seconds to take the tines off and put the shovel attachment on.
Q: What is the handle made of?
A: High Density Polyethylene. It is a strong and durable type of plastic.
Q: What are the tines made of?
A: Coated carbon steel.
Q: Where is The Mulch Fork made?
A: We are a USA based company, and are sourcing the product manufacturing in China.
Q: When will we receive our products as a result of pledging on Kickstarter?
A: We anticipate being able to manufacture, and ship to you for arrival in Mid-September. We will keep you full informed of the status and if it changes occur during the process.
Q: What are the other attachments that will be available in the future?
A: We plan to offer several other attachment options including: A flat-point shovel head (useful for dividing perennials, small shrubs and edging), A grain scoop (for flinging seed, sand, salt, and compost, etc.), A digging fork (a 4-prong fork for penetrating soil) A cultivator (A bent fork-like attachment for working up the soil)
Risks and challenges
Fulfillment: We are planning to place the order to have The Mulch Fork and Spade manufactured immediately following our Kickstarter campaign once we reach our goal. It is uncertain exactly how long it will take to complete the order and have it shipped into our warehouse for subsequent delivery. We will keep you informed through-out the process on the status of the manufacturing process and the estimated delivery time in which they will receive it.
Manufacturing: It is conceivable that some minor adjustments to the size, shape or componentry of The Mulch Fork and Spade may be necessary to produce a consistent quality product. We totally understand that gardening is a “contact sport”, and it is essential that this new tool be durable and a long-lasting value. We will be offering a full 1 year money back guarantee to ensure any potential defect will be covered.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
