Have a question?
If you have a defective record, please email: email@example.com. Thanks.
My first record is too big for the turntable.....so I'm also looking for a way to contact someone about this.
I'm with Sam, I also received a defective record (looks like someone tried to play it with a cheese-grater) - but I never saw who or how to contact to get on the replacement list. Any help is appreciated - Thanks, fellas!
What was the email again if we got a vinyl but its faulty and won't play? Sorry i think I saw it at one point but forget. Thanks
Been a month since the last update, just checking in, and hoping to listen to it soon.
Checking on any updates. Just curious. It's been a year minus a week since this launched.
Anyone know how we go about submitting our address for eventual shipment? If I vaguely recall, I read they will get in touch with us when ready, but I want to make certain. I will be having it shipped to my old address where my in laws live as I'm in apartment now and don't trust it to arrive here safely.
Any update for us backers? Have you received the final copies yet?
will the t-shirts ship with the vinyl?
This was posted on their FB page on September 7th: "The latest test pressings of the Mercury vinyl have been sent to us to approve. Hopefully they're amazing and we will be pressing vinyl before the end of the month. Turns out we're not the only band who wants to press vinyl."
Hi! pumped for this!
I am moving on the 1st of October and will not have an address for 1 month, just want to make sure I get my vinyl, cheers! Travis
So, any news? We're over two months past the initial release date.
Any update on when the records will be shipping? Thanks!
I didn't get a survey either. An update would be nice.
Just curious, but when should I expect to receive the record? I never received a survey...so I was just a little anxious that I may have missed it somehow. Please give an update if possible.
a bit more than 2 weeks to go until the nashvegas listening party and I'm excited! eric, wayne, andy, & tim: any ideas on how soon we will know the time and place of this occasion? thanks.
The listening party was incredible. Thanks all!
Any way to record the listening party. It would be way cool to hear stories, comments, Q&A, etc. Put it up on bandcamp, I'd pay to download it. (I'd even download it for free).
It would be cool if there was a Mercury poster option.
Curious where the listening party will be.
I haven't received a survey and want to make sure I didn't miss it or maybe lost it in spam filter.
I need to update my shipping address (moving soon) who do I contact? Thanks!
Does the invitation to the listening party allow for a guest?
Are the LA listening party people likely to get theirs at the party?
Well, you did it...and then some. Wow. The 20th anniversary edition of Mercury on double vinyl was funded in two hours and you guys helped push the campaign father than we could have dreamed. Over 600%. We feel the love. The album will release on July 14, 2015. Once again, thank you from all of us. - Eric, Andy, Wayne and Tim
In my view, this is one of the best records recorded in the 90's- Christian or otherwise. I was teaching middle school at the time and Mercury was a CD I could play in my art classes along with the Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Tea Party and Smashing Pumpkins tunes that my students were bringing in. It and Shawl have been constants on my various iPods and iPhones over the years. To finally have this record on vinyl puts it where it belongs- in the format of that lasting canon of albums that can be listened to from end to end, not sampled and shuffled like so much digital playlist fodder.
675% funded. Seems like nostalgia has inspired the old fans. Huge congrats, guys. I'm buying my tickets to LA. See you guys there.
One hour to go. A few copies left.
@ Paul Rogers: thanks Paul
Thanks everyone. 1 week to go. See you at the party.
Thanks for this guys! Your music was very influential on me growing up and is still so to this day. Mercury is one of my top 5 favorite albums of all time, and in my opinion, was before its time and came from another planet, no pun intended.
Listening Party with the band and Steve in Nashville! Thanks for this opportunity guys. I couldn't be more excited.
Will the t-shirt design be ready before the campaign finishes? I'd like to see a design before I get it.
thanks for opening up some spots for the listening parties. i just changed my pledge so i can attend the one in Nashville. it will be fantastic to meet you guys and go back to my old stomping grounds.
Listening Parties : June 27 Orange County, CA and August 1 Nashville, TN. See you there.
This whole thing is making me salivate at even the thought of a Lassie Foundation vinyl somewhere down the line.
Perhaps those going to the listening partys should have first chance at the vintage shirts, and if any are leftover they can be sold on the bandcamp page. Might be easier.
First of all, congrats on the successful funding. I thought that I remembered reading somewhere that the master tapes for Mercury were destroyed in a flood. If that's the case, I'm just curious what kind of source(s) you're using to cut the records with?
Tom - Thanks! We are looking at early August as a possible time for a Nashville listening party. If we play a song, it would not be full Prayer Chain rock and roll. but maybe something acoustic. I would say it's a 50/50 chance.
Ok... Complementary upgrade is pretty amazing!!!
Q: If Nashville party is funded any idea on dates?
Q: If Nashville Party is funded, what is the chances there will be some performance (eg. 50%, 80%, 100%)? This is the portion that actually has me considering an upgrade, even got the thumbs up from the wife.
I kick myself for not making the drive to see y'all on your tour in support of mercury circa 95'... and only got to see a few minutes of y'all at creation before I "Discovered" The Prayer Chain, when I picked up a demo off the shelf at a local christian book store. I still clearly remember crystal clearly every second of that moment about 21 - 22 years ago.
Plead: Please get back together, make a new album (even if it sounds like Mumford and sons... it would be so awesome to have new music from my favorite band), and please put out Shawl on Vinyl. Ok... thanks for listening.
Here's possibly a more realistic idea for a stretch goal. If you raise over $15000, you do an audio commentary version of Mercury while you're all together, like The Choir do with their albums now. Anyone who pledges over $60 gets it as a free download. And you can also sell it thru Northern Records as a download. Just a suggestion.
Can we get SHAWL pressed to vinyl now? The only thing better would be a reunion with new material and a tour. :-)
Antarctica on a picture disc vinyl (the penguin from the album cover) would be the tits. Also any new music would be great too. Or maybe collab on a song or album with Jason Martin. Everyone here would pay whatever you wanted for that.
Hey Eric/Wayne! This is so rad you guys are doing this. Hope all is well. Do some Lassie next! = lee gilmore
Is the listening party $125 for one person or can you bring a plus 1?
Someone has to bring a guitar to the listening party. Would love to hear some tunes pulled out from the guys, either Prayer Chain ones or from any of their projects. (I'd bring it, but I'm coming from overseas!)
How about releasing your other albums on vinyl as well, since the funding went over the goal so quickly? I'd really like to have Shawl on wax.
If the band want to make more music as the four of them, they will. But it's been 20 years, so in a lot of ways it wouldn't be the Prayer Chain we know. Just enjoy the stuff they want to do. And enjoy their other projects, like Stranger Kings, Cush, Charity Empressa, etc.
Eliezer those are my thoughts exactly. Think about it your fans have just given $12k so far for the same music that we've all had for 20 years. Could you imagine the response if you put something out with even 1 new song on it? You would probably break Kickstarter...
As I see how much this project has already made, with still 25 days to go, I can't help the big smile on my face. I'll spell it out for you, members of the band, we the people want you and Steve Hindalong hiding in a studio somewhere, recording a new album. I'll be a monkey if you wouldn't raise at least $50K on a Kickstarter for a new album. So stop f*****g around and give us what we want. ;)
