Why Our Rewards Are Limited
We limit our rewards because we want to keep our viewership small and condensed so we can really focus on individual needs. We want to set people up to succeed and not to fail. With our small viewership's we can make sure that everyone is having fun and learning a lot!
We are a partner of the Stretech Network. Stretech is a company that gives everyday people an easy, engaging, fun, and an affordable way to learn how to make video games.
They help experienced developers make great training products and help get that product out to the world in an exciting way. They are helping us make our course more appealing and professional, as we are game developers and not experienced in training people. The Stretech Network has over 50,000 people enrolled in their training courses.
Here's what some people have said about their courses
About Our Team
Our Team consists of 5 part time programmers. We love working on anything to do with code and video games. Only 2 of us work full time as developers and that is why we are very excited for this project. In total we have a combined 50 years of development experience.
If you want to ask us any questions concerning this project, game development, or the industry in general, please comment or send a private message. We will reply as soon as we can.
Instead of starting with the very basics we are going to begin with code and development that is a little further down the line. We think it will be quite easy to understand anyway so starting with very basic code would be a waste of our user's time.
Chapters & Videos will be released like this (Subject To Change)
- The Basics
- How To Set-Up Multiplayer
- Character Controller
- Mouse Look Script
- Weapon Systems
- Applying & Taking Damage
- Zones & Deadly Gas
- Image Effects
- Generating Material Maps
- Saving & Loading
- User Log In
- User Creation
Beginners & Advanced Development
Although we are going to begin with beginner friendly code, we are eventually going to move up to more advanced functions and systems. We are going to take our time and make sure everyone is understanding the information that is being provided before, gradually, moving to advanced code.
Advanced programmers will have to be patient with the course until we have reached that point. However, some may still want to watch as we won't only be starting with programming, we will also be showing stuff like texturing, level design, graphics and so on.
All of these chapters will be organized and well defined so some users may skip sections if that is what they want.
Kits & Rewards
Our Kits will contain the following - Quantities & Items Will Alter Based On Pledge Tiers. Kits are provided from an already existing battle royale game, learn more here: kingofvienna.com

We are not currently sure when the course and kit's will be released. We really do want to take our time and make sure that our course is the highest quality we can produce, with awesome images, descriptive illustrations, documentation and so on. We can say when we hope to have it released, and that is sometime in July, or possibly June.
Make sure you follow the Kickstarter so you can keep updated with development of this course.
If you have any questions or concerns make sure you voice them so we can inform you.
Why This Course Is Important
There aren't any courses like this out there. Most courses teach you programming in a different way and they rarely have prepackaged assets/kit's. We think that this method is going to work wonders on helping users retain this important information and give them a boost on game development skills.
Those who are new to development and programming should not have to focus energy on finding models, audio tracks, sound effects, particles, images, illustrations, and so on. They main focus should be plugging everything in and connecting it via C#.
This will work best if you want to make a Battle Royale game as the type of assets you will receive are from that genre of game, but if you want to make a game of a different genre, it will still be possible.
If you are hard of hearing, do not worry. We are going to make sure every video have proper sub-titles for you to read a long. We want to make sure many people can learn c# even if they can't with other course types. It is important that you understand the information being displayed in the text editor.
We know this is a common concern, we are happy to say that we will be accommodating to those who have a disadvantage.
Unique Teaching Technique
We do not want to waste any one's time with slow and useless information, which is common in courses on game development. Our course will only cover and provide information on necessary topics and development information.
Retention is usually a struggle with people new to programming and development. We came up with a few different methods to really help those people out. One is the kit's we are going to provide. If someone has to waste energy on finding the right models and assets it will strongly effect how much information they retain. We have tested this with some friends and associates and we can proudly say it has been working incredibly well.
We are still working on other methods based on how we give out the information. Some involve proper breakdowns, really taking it step by step, sort of a modular building system. We have not smoothed everything out yet but we will keep you all updated on our awesome systems.
Windows, Mobile, Mac, and Linux
This course will actually be launched as a software. We think this will be best so those who don't always have access to the internet can still learn with ease. You won't have to worry about downloading large video files to watch without wifi. All videos will be compressed and hosted on a software. This also gives us the easy ability of creating cool forums, chat rooms, update sections, and so on.
Because this is a software, not a web page, some may be worried about what platforms it will launch on. We are going to be launching on IOS, Android, Windows, And Linux. Everyone will be able to download the software.
Fun & Engaging
Boring courses and slow videos often result in users becoming less interested in game development or even in rate cases quitting completely and that is very sad to see. Our courses are going to be very interesting and exciting. Theses videos are going to have lot's of great illustrations to explain different methods and systems to keep the attention of our users.
It will not just be another course with a screen capture, webcam, and mic. Our courses are fun and engaging so we do not fail you as instructors.
Why Kit's Help You Learn Faster
It's been said above, but it is really important for users to focus on what is important like programming, learning graphical effects, learning optimization, and Unity in general. Our users should not have to worry about finding or spending money on models. This will increase retention and increase the speed in which you learn and develop your game.
Not Just A Course On Programming
Although we are providing kits, we aren't just going to be focused on entering in code. It's important that we cover many aspects of developing a video game. Here are some of the great things you will also learn
- Generating height, occlusion, normal, specular, and other texture maps to apply to objects.
- Using Unity's post processing stack to increase the overall look of your game
- Using all of Unity's lighting to set certain moods for your scenes
- Level Design
- Porting to other platforms
- Using fog
- Destructible Assets
These will not be the main focus of the course, they will be touched on but not extensively.
Great For Entering The Industry
It is well known that you are much more likely to receive a job in the gaming industry when you have something to show. I remember when I had around 1 year experience in game development. I applied to many companies to work. I never even received a call back from any of the companies. I decided to build my own game, I spend 1 whole year on it. Although it never did very well, when I re-applied with that game on my resume I was surprised with many phone calls and great job opportunities.
The great thing is because you do not have to worry about spending lot's of money finding assets for your project, you will be able to develop a cool game on your own risk free. After you finish this course you will having something amazing to show anyone you wish to.
We want this course to blow everyone away, we can only accomplish this if we receive funding from the community. Most of the money we receive will be spent on great animations and beautiful illustrations to explain certain concepts. This will be sure to make the course more engaging, interesting, fun, and help you retain the important information given.
Other than illustrations there will be fees for unity and other programs to help us, we also have to develop our own software so any extra money will help us tremendously.
Kickstarter is a great way to raise the funds we need but the main reason we chose Kickstarter is because it is so much fun and gives us a great opportunity to develop a community around our projects!
Cartoon Style & Realistic Style
Our assets will contain a cartoon style type like Fortnight and a realistic style type like Battlegrounds. So no matter what style you are going for you will easily be able to achieve that look.
Cartoon & Realistic styles won't just be based on graphics but also physics, explosions, weapon mechanics, and everything else.
We want users to have the ability to make any style game they want. So if what you to maybe create a mixture of both, fun and realistic, you can definitely do that. What you create will be up to your imagination, goals, taste, and ideas!
Not Just Useful For Battle Royale
This course will not just be useful for games of the Battle Royale genre. This information will be easily translated to any other type of video game you may want to create.
Some assets will also be useful for other genres, especially the scripts and some of the models.

Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge will be getting the course done and released in a some-what fast manner, without hiccup.
It is going to be a lot of work setting up the kits and delivering them to each person correctly. We are going to attempt to develop a system to make it very smooth.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
