Hey, When can I get my stuff? Am I need to more wait???

    2. Thomas Palmer on October 4

Just looked at the Jolt campaign and the folks supposedly behind it. Yup, that looks very much like the Hey Joe but with some cosmetic design changes and the elimination of the wire mesh filter. The wording in much of the campaign is also very similar to the stuff here. I am starting to believe that this (and now the Jolt) was actually done by a Chinese company who are using surrogates in the US to scam people using crowd funding campaigns. It explains why the people supposedly making the product knew nothing about manufacturing or coffee, why the product was so cheaply made, and why it was funneled through a front company that supposedly makes fire pits in Atlanta (which was why they were so dusty and poorly packaged).

Kickstarter has been hassling me to fill in your survey, so I entered "please-ignore". Just letting you know :-) (I cancelled my order some time ago, there's no way to cancel the survey).

This thing sucks. So batteries are bad? I've had one but with moving and such finally get to use it. Well nothing happens...... What now. Smh

Maybe we should find him and ask for a refund to his face. Since posting here obviously gets no results.

For anyone out there that can get their money refunded, do so as soon as possible. My unit failed almost immediately (3rd cup), and the coffee was insipid. Too bad it is a failure, but it is a failure no matter what you may hear otherwise.

My unit broke and I never even got my 2nd battery. Can I at least get a refund for the battery I never got?

    10. E. Jansen on August 23

Compare this Kickstarter project to the Bragi Dash...
Eventho it is an immensly more difficult/technical product, they got/had
      - excellent reviews
      - multiple options for design tracks, in case 1 flunks out > every step updated to the backers
      - every design change/component update, functionality expansion > updated to the backers
      - Great aftersales (my unit had a bug, which sw updates didn't fix), replacement in 1 weeks time
      - Fast and friendly customer support/care

I am very glad I got out of HeyJoe after the first changes poped up that made this product deviate to far from the original project specs and product HeyJoe promised backers.

Second the motion for a HeyJoe product/project ban on Kickstarter. This is a total mess of a KS project.

    11. Ben Diederich on August 23

I should add that even Amazon is out of new units. All used at $84.95 a pop. All of the recent 2016 reviews are poor. The value proposition just isn't there with this product. Sometimes there are duds.

    12. Ben Diederich on August 23

Tough break for all the international backers. If there is any consolation, you are only missing your money. The final product that was shipped in my opinion has no value. I have gotten two batteries and both died after 2 and then 3 uses. For those five 10oz cups of coffee I could not personally stand the flavor. The GoJoe is fundamentally flawed and my guess is that the company is out of capital so you won't be getting a refund. Since the last run was "damaged" they are probably getting those done for free which is why they will take so long.

    13. Ben Diederich on August 11

I think your expectations of a refund might be a little optimistic.

    14. Rolando Inzunza on August 10

same here - I am starting a twitter campaign @heyjoebeans - nothing horrible - just persistence now... especially as they are selling these now and I haven't got a refund, product or explanation. Poor Show !

Please remember that the backers made this happen for you, updates are important, even if you've had no further developments post an update, it shows that you have us in mind and not mugging us off.

      Hi Uwe Michael,

Thanks for contacting! We're currently in the process of securing the certifications for sending our product overseas.
Unfortunately this is a very lengthy process due to the coffee being a food product.

I currently have no ETA for when we'll be shipping your order. I can however add your email to be notifiied as soon as international shipping starts?

Thank you so much for your patience,

its absolutely a waste of money. Ive been legitimately trying to give it away to my friends and nobody wants it because it doesnt work in so many ways it would be ridiculous to list them all. Dear international backers, if anyone would like to have mine, ill send it to you just so I dont have to live with the guilt of throwing batteries in the trash. Send me a DM

So, is it fraud if you get solicit money from people and promise a product in return, actually produce the product, but refuse to deliver it to the people that gave you the money in the first place ?

    36. roger farley on June 1

On the off chance anyone is reading this from Hey Joe - enough is enough now. I can't wait any longer for you to send me this. No updates on certification for months. Please email me to arrange refund.

It's funny, because some of the paid reviews aren't even giving 4 or 5 stars. Like, he couldn't even bribe people into liking it.

    39. Thomas Palmer on May 16

And by censoring I mean he has someone watching all of the paid for reviews in order to report any and all comments to Amazon as soon as they are posted. Disgusting.

    40. Thomas Palmer on May 16

And now, not only is Jordan padding the Amazon ratings with a LOT of paid for reviews on both the mug and coffee, he is actively censoring anyone who tries to comment and point out the fake reviews. This is out of control.

Wow. And the flood of fake paid for reviews on Amazon begins. *sigh*

    43. Ben Diederich on April 28, 2016

Sharper Image is down to three stars. Not sure if they are choosing to round up to the whole star. Thomas and I have the two one star reviews and there are two five star reviews which is a 2.5 rating to me. One of the five star reviews is clearly a plant.
      -
In my correspondence with Jordon he is shipping out a new charger. My second battery will no longer take a charge. It will be interesting to see if the original battery gets revived. I have never questioned that he was not censoring any of the media posts. All the denials in the world wont take away the truth that they have censored and blocked backers from giving their opinion.
      -
In my opinion you don't get any do-overs at this crowd funding game. If a funded project doesn't deliver on campaign promises then it is game over for any other ideas you may want to pursue with the help of the crowd. I haven't checked to see if Jordon is putting a 2.0 campaign on Inde-gogo.

    44. Gary Bunker on April 28, 2016

After the first Amazon listing disappeared, I pasted my review to the new 2.0 listing, and it was approved and visible for a couple days. Then it disappeared. I'm attempting to post my review again, but it all seems shady.

@Thomas Yeah, he actually wrote that in my email. And the Facebook thing is crazy. I didn't even write anything negative. One woman wrote something like "This looks so cool. I want it!", and I wrote "Make sure you read the reviews before buying it.

It was taken down within the day.

      Cornelius on April 28, 2016

      Thomas-
Thank you for informing me. Why Jordan can't be bothered to tell the people that are effected by this is a completely different story.

He calls himself the CEO on the Amazon listing and linkedin so I was just going with what he calls himself. They also had an add for interns a while ago and the listing stated that the interns would be competing for the chance at a job with Hey Joe so there is a chance that there are employees though I mostly meant people being payed for services rather than proper employees. The amazon people for example.

    47. Thomas Palmer on April 28, 2016

      @Cornelius

His response to the international orders question is a valid one when it comes to retail sales. Since the mug is an electronic device with a Lithium battery they would need to obtain certifications to legitimately sell in various countries. It was one of the issues I brought up over a year ago when I questioned Jordan's understanding of the true scope of selling this product at retail globally since he had no plan to obtain optional UL certification. Though I would not consider it a valid reason for simply fulfilling the backer orders. They could easily be shipped without any certifications using a shipper that can handle Lithium batteries (like Fed Ex or UPS) and shipping them individually. The backers would just need to be informed that there is a slight risk of customs in their country holding or refusing the shipment, the same risk that any importer has.

Oh, and he isn't a "CEO" and he doesn't have any employees. Hey Joe Coffee is not an incorporated business and he (and the rest of the Hey Joe threesome) are just employees of a company in Atlanta that makes outdoor fire pits. The same company who's shipping department he uses to ship our mugs from (probably why they are all dusty inside the package).

    48. Thomas Palmer on April 28, 2016

Did he really tell you "I am not personally censoring any comments. I truly want to hear your feedback. I do not manage our social media, but can reach out to the person who does to discuss any reasons why a comment may have been deleted. I will personally reach out to address this with them directly." .. well that was a flat out lie. They are still censoring all feedback on Facebook that is not high praise and people who were banned for simply saying "You should read the reviews of the product" in reply to a question asking if the coffee is good (that is what I was banned for saying) are still banned. Not to mention what they just did on Amazon.
