About this project
Check out our press thus far:
A woman inherits her family farm at a young age causing she and her significant other to move home and take over the farm instead of their previous plans to move to the city. The empty farm becomes a magnet for friends and neighbors, but the fuller the home the lonelier it gets. A story that explores the blurred relationships of people in their twenties as they decided if they should do what they want to do or what they need to do.
A 26-acre horse farm in the small town of Delano, Minnesota where the cast and crew will be living on location during the dog days of summer.
Sneak peek of some of the property:
The production is geared to be very immersive and rewarding. The script is lyrical and meditative allowing the images to breathe and grow on set and during rehearsals. The location and the characters will always be united giving us the opportunity to find new places to explore and new words to speak.
Drawing inspiration from:
Terrence Malick's Days of Heaven.
The careful pacing and visual composition of Antonioni's L'Avventura.
Raymond Carver's stories of mundane yet tumultuous blue collar life.

Risks and challenges
Why we need you.
We have gathered together a talented and passionate team within the independent film world and have a beautiful setting rarely captured in our art form.
Even so... we will always face some rough spots. Due to our budget size and the amount of space we have for lodging we are unable to assemble a crew as large as we would like. Luckily our cast is just as likely to use their hands as the crew. So, if a problem arises where we need more hands on deck they will be more than willing to step up and chip in if they are not scheduled to be in front of the camera at that time. Minnesota in the summer time can always throw you curveballs for weather, too. If we have a full day of outdoor shooting scheduled and we are pelted with rain all day we can adapt and move indoors to simply swap up some days due to our diligent planning before hand. Our location is a far away land for most of us based in Brooklyn currently, so it will take time for us to get used to the land and finalize our locations. To tackle this the director, writers, and director of photography will arrive a few days early on set to have everything in motion when full cast and crew arrive.
We need your contribution to get us out there on flights and keep us nourished so we can give you a story you haven't seen before. A poignant story for those from the Midwest, the coasts, or anywhere in between.
We give you our biggest thanks in advance. Your part in this project will never be forgotten.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
