We invented Fakespeare one evening when we meant to play Dictionary but picked up a Shakespeare anthology instead. The game evolved as the night went until we were crying with laughter. We knew we were onto something great and decided to make it into a game that we could share with others - thus Fakespeare was born.
Now we've spent several months fine tuning the game's rules and quote cards and playing it with our friends. So far the reception of the game has been hugely positive. The only hitch has been the expense of printing a few copies of the game at a time. That's why we want your help to print a larger number of games. Lets do this!
Risks and challenges
The biggest risk comes with promising rewards that we cannot provide - we have mitigated this risk by pricing Fakespeare so that the cost of printing is covered if only 20 games are printed - we feel confident that we will be able to sell at least 20 games through this Kickstarter campaign. We have also experienced delays with our printer during the prototyping stages of the game. That is why we have given a full month lead-time for expected delivery (it typically takes two weeks to get games back from the printer).Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
