Hello! My name is Georgia, I'm 23 years old and I'm trying to make a book.
For the past two years, I've been drawing this guy:
Who says things like this:
When I first started drawing I had no idea what I was trying to do, but I loved it. I quickly realized that sharing my drawings not only made people laugh, but also helped me understand things better. It made me realize we're all the same.
Before I knew it I had hundreds of drawings sitting in boxes in my room. I couldn't stop and I started making even more stuff.
Here's a quick background:
I really want to make this book because we're all the same. We all feel weird, so we might as well laugh about it together.
If I raise this money successfully, I will be able to set up my own mini-publishing company, and produce and execute the shipment of over 250 100-page color books, as well as an e-book.
In order to do that, I need to raise money for:
- Production (publishing costs, getting my own ISBN)
- Shipping (owls etc)
Most importantly, this campaign is an opportunity for you to pre-order a copy of the book for $25.
But here's why Kickstarter is really cool:
- It lets me fund my project by creating more stuff, rather than spending more money.
- It gives me the ability to discount the price of the book, by letting you donate for additional rewards. (You can see the rewards I'm offering below).
- I get to keep all creative control - which also means I get to experience and learn from all the blood, sweat, and tears.
If you can donate anything at all, thank you so much. I really hope you enjoy the book and share the drawings with someone you love! (Or hate, no real preference.)
In addition to donating (and if you don't feel morally opposed) please share this campaign! I definitely can't do this without you. Thank you.

Risks and challenges
The thing with Kickstarter is if I don't raise all of the money, I don't get any of it. It's really f@#$U*&% scary to ask you to help me do this, but with the support of my friends and family I've gotten this far and I know its worth the risk.
This campaign is not for profit; I've already made a detailed budget and calculated all costs, so the only real thing I have to lose is my pride...
Sometimes you have to say f@#$* it.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
