We are spice blenders creating a salt free America. From our Green Zest to our Blackened, we develop flavors for everyone with NO salt.
DAK’S are the spice blends created by Drew And Karen (DAK) who love to cook. Karen blended her own spices for years but never thought of sharing her spices with others until she met Drew. Drew fell in love with Karen and her cooking too. He had the idea that they should offer her spice blends to others which was the start of DAK’s Spices.
DAK’s values flavor and healthy eating over salt. DAK’s mission is to offer quality spice blends that are 100% spice and herbs, NO salt, NO preservatives, and NO MSG.
DAK’S has a wide variety of flavors that appeal to everyone. Currently, there are 9 different salt free spice blends. The collection includes two all-purpose spice blends, ORIGINAL RED and GREEN ZEST. Additionally, there are 7 specialty spice blends: ASIAN ZING, BLACKENED, BLAZIN’ BBQ, BUTT KICKIN’ BUFFALO, SOUTHWEST BORDERS, SUPER GREEK and STEAKHOUSE. With DAK’s in your spice rack, you have a different delicious meal every night of the week.
DAK’S Spices save time in the kitchen by having all the spices perfectly blended for the consumer. These spices take the guess work out of seasoning your meals. People love these spices because they are a sure way to easily make every meal gourmet. The website, www.MyWifeMakesGoodFood.com also has a ton of tasty, healthy recipes.
DAK’s started selling their products at a large farmers market in 2012 and were delighted by their stellar success. DAK’s is now available in a number of local stores in Birmingham, AL. DAK’s was featured a number of times on local NBC and FOX channels. Several local restaurants use DAK’s spices as a salt free alternative.
DAK’s currently rents a commercial kitchen where they spend hours upon hours making the spice blends. This really limits that amount of time they can devote to selling and promoting their products.
Our process is below:
Our project is to raise money to mass produce our bestselling 3 Blends: ORIGINAL RED, GREEN ZEST, and BLACKENED. With your help DAK’s will be able to place our first order with a local spice co packer. This one order will produce over 7,000 bottles of spices!!! You can only imagine how long that would have taken to bottle by hand. By having this amount of product available, DAK’s will be able to accept large orders from grocery store chains and move into other areas outside Birmingham AL. This is our fancy new bottle and labels for our co packaged spice blends.
Our newest blend (not on the menu yet):

DAK’s has been working on this project for over a year. There are no risks with our project. DAK’s has everything in the works with our local co packer and have grocery chains waiting to place orders. All DAK’s needs are the funds to move forward. DAK’s has proven the concept and the need for a fantastic tasting Salt Free Alternative. The only challenge is being able to produce the spices fast enough. With your help DAK’s can make it happen! Happy Cooking!
