A native of Seattle, WA, Eric is an actor and writer based in London. His credits include Muse of Fire at Shakespeare's Globe, and BRADLEY/CHELSEA/NAMELESS at Theatre 503. As part of the British American Drama Academy, Eric performed as Cymbeline at Oval House. Trained at Indiana University, Bloomington, Eric has performed roles such as Doug in Gruesome Playground Injuries, Hal in Proof, and Snake in School for Scandal. Eric is represented by The American Agency.
As a solo performer using a loop pedal to create music and sound effects in front of the audience, Eric has performed in cabaret nights in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at both the C venues and Sweet Grassmarket, as well as in London at the Hackney Picturehouse for Scratch That Hackney, The Others for Properganda and Camden Peoples Theatre for Sh!t Theatre's Sing-a-long-a Muppet's Christmas Carol.
THE PROJECTAs part of Sh!t Theatre's Emerging Artist programme, Eric Sigmundsson will be performing his debut "Mitch's Movie Pitches" in the Anatomy Lecture Theatre at the prestigious Summerhall for Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015!
Mitch wants to make movies. Problem is, all of his ideas are too absurd, expensive and downright ridiculous to ever be produced.
Homophobic Santa Claus. A family watching a movie whilst their house burns down around them. A kitchen sink action movie. Using a loop-pedal, lyrical speech and dark humour, Eric Sigmundsson shows the breakdown of a creative mind carried away with concepts.
The show will run:
August 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays 2:00pm at the Anatomy Lecture Theatre, Summerhall. Split venue with Sh!t Theatre's brilliant show Women's Hour.

BREAKDOWN OF COSTS
I need to raise a target of at least £3,500 to cover the costs of performing at the Edinburgh Fringe; a festival that is getting more and more expensive for performers every year.
Public Relations £1500
Venue Hire £875
Publicity Materials £500
Registration fee £400
While I will be contributing as much money as I can to this project, I am unable to cover all of the costs of a full Edinburgh run. With the decreasing government arts funding for the fringe, it is becoming increasingly important for other funding to be procured and I need your help to enable me to perform in Edinburgh and ensure a successful debut.
WHY SUPPORT ME?!
I believe the project is an innovative and exciting solo-show that will speak to a wide range of audiences. I am passionate about the message I am putting across and I want to reach as many people as possible; which is why Sh!t Theatre have decided to have inexpensive tickets of £6 a person. A very reasonable price for the fringe!
I have thought a lot about the rewards I have offered and hope that you find them fun and, well, desirable.
Thank you so much for your support.
Risks and challenges
While there are risks to take into consideration whenever one embarks on an Edinburgh run, I feel I am well equipped to handle these challenges. Going up to the festival with the Sh!t Theatre team who have extensive experience and extremely valuable advice in marketing, social media, and overall promotion will ensure that it is a smooth and successful run. Keeping the ticket prices low will enable audiences from any background to attend and will bring in large houses.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
