Sadly for us broke musicians, studio time and album mastering isn’t cheap. While we have been playing several nights a week over the last year and a half we are hoping to set aside funds to get into the studio and start recording our originals. During this time we will still be playing across Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, DC and Pennsylvania and farther if we can. That's why we are partnering with Kickstarter.com to ask for your help in funding our recording bills. Kickstarter.com is a new way for artists without major financial capital but plenty of creative capital, to raise the money necessary to fund their newest endeavor.
In short, we are calling upon you to make an advance investment in Hot Tub Limo. We are hopeful to not let you down in the form of a great set of originals by the band. We have been playing since March of 2010 and we have spent a great deal of time working on others music and we feel we are ready to put out some of the tracks we have been writing ourselves.
With every donation there is a prize in return. There are different levels of pledges, a lot of really cool prizes, and the more you donate the more you will get in return! However, if we do not raise the full $5,000 by the set date we will receive none of the pledged funds, you will not be charged for your pledge and we will be unable to give you the pledge thank/prize, and we will cry a lot of tears! Without your help “Champagne in Prison” might not be released!
The money raised will go to pay bills accumulated throughout the recording and production process and will be used to mass produce the studio tracks. We will be recording this album throughout the spring in Maryland on our off days and nights. The money will cover the costs generated for recording, mixing and mastering the songs, everything from studio time to mastering to photography and album artwork and production. If we meet our goal we will be printing the EP for release in mid 2012.
Thank you so much for your support,
John, Joe, Mike, Forrest and Rohry (Hot Tub Limo)
