Our piece, Pare, is back and in action! We made into the NY International Fringe Festival & need help to reach our registration fee.
For over two years now, I have been working on a monster of a piece called Pare. It is a dance-theatre-multimedia duet between my husband and myself that follows a man and a woman through the unfortunate story of their relationship. Their marriage is poisoned, diseased, and doomed from the start due to the choices they make, and yet they stay together. In Pare, we examine the limits of love, the tyranny of abuse, and the different ways in which we all hurt each other.
Kevin and I developed Pare extensively in 2011 and performed the full 55-minute version one day only in January at FLICfest 2012. I am itching for the opportunity to further explore the depths of these characters and their story. In NY Fringe, we are getting the chance to perform a week straight and to expand our audience demographic to include not only dance but also theatre, mulitmedia, and art fans. We can't wait to see how the NY Fringe audience responds to our work and we hope for you to be a part of it too. Please help us to raise the money for our registration fee by May 14th!
