I'm guessing we're never going to see the packaging with backer signatures or the samples...

I know it's, but I wanted you to know that I never got my soap after backing this in 2012

Sam, Those products don't exist yet. :)

Hi, just wondering a couple of things about this product:
1 - Whatever happened to the prototype bars?
2 - What happened to the signature packages?

Was packaging with backer's signatures ever produced? Also, any plans for prototype or additional soap for those who backed at that level?

    6. Aric Norine Creator on April 30, 2013

TJ, it's still in the works. :)

Any update on sending out prototype bars for backers who pledged to that level? Or possibly sending out some 2 or 6 packs to those backers if there aren't any plans for future soap types? Thanks.

    8. Aric Norine Creator on December 13, 2012

      Hi Sam,

The signatures are planned to be on the current Amazon style packaging midway through next year. I'll make a project announcement when it's available so you'll be alerted when it's available.

      Hi, Aric.

I was wondering when you are going to produce the packaging with backer signatures. Is that coming with the next package design that was posted in the last update?

      The packaging looks great!

      Hi Bob,

It's best to combine the bars before the sliver has become to small. The groove does it's best work when the sliver fits snug. As you try a few more bars, perhaps combine them a little sooner. I'll send you a message if you'd like to talk about pricing of our future products.

Please share your pricing strategy with me regarding the two-fer package. Also.... Which way is best to stack the soap? I initially tried to nest the curves together and they kept coming apart, so I tried to fit the small piece with the new bar in such a way that they both now formed a rounded on both sides bar of soap. This works best for me. The joined soap bars fit my palm better and they wear evenly on both sides until I am ready to stack-um again.

is there gonna be like a 24 pack deal at a lower cost on amazon anytime soon? or will these be in stores like sams club or walmart?

    14. Aric Norine Creator on July 10, 2012

Amazon's taking their sweet time... I'm calling them every day to get it fixed.

Stack soap is still unavailable. How long does it take to verify numbers?

    16. Aric Norine Creator on July 6, 2012

Thanks Lillian, we'll keep that in mind. :)

    17. Aric Norine Creator on July 6, 2012

Thanks for your feedback. Amazon is currently verifying the stock numbers, Stack should be available again in a day or so.

    18. Joseph Donato on July 6, 2012

Oh...Amazon notes that Stack is currently unavailable....When back in stock?

    19. Joseph Donato on July 6, 2012

I received my 48 bars and am sharing with some friends who were intrigued by the concept. Wasn't sure of the scent at first but that is just because I cannot identify it. The soap is well done and the concept works. I actually like the product and look forward to experimenting with different versions - perhaps creating amalgams of soaps over time...

      Nice work...

    20. Lillian C on July 5, 2012

I also got around to "joining" my bars. So, I like the soap- it's very sudsy and is not harsh at all. The bar lasted for about 2-3 weeks before it became the sliver. It joins effortlessly to the next bar.
I think the smell is a little weird though. I'm assuming you guys are going for a neutral scent but the scent is a little too "organic" for my taste. I'm looking forward to other scents / colors to try. :)

I just joined the initial bar with a new bar for the first time since I received my soap a couple of weeks ago. I works just like it was advertised! It's a super concept and one that left me thinking, "now why didn't I think of that?". Both my wife and I love it. Thank you for such a great product.

I hope that even if you start another with color and scent that you will keep the original going as well for those who wouldn't like color or scent.
I know I would buy the original forever!!!

Got my pack of soap today! I'll agree that the soap makes you skin nice and soft. I like the scent; it's pleasant and not too overpowering. I haven't had a chance to use it after working on something like a greasy car engine, but it got the persistent smell of garlic off my hands after picking scapes.

    36. Aric Norine Creator on June 12, 2012

    37. Sam Kimpton
      on June 12, 2012

I should clarify that by "the soap is very soft", I mean it leaves my skin soft....the bar itself is just as hard/dense as a regular soap bar. Didn't want to give anyone the impression that it will melt away after one shower. :)

      Thanks, Aric!

I used the soap for the first time this morning, and so far, Stack is great! The soap is very soft, and the scent is quite pleasant. It works up a good lather, and washes off cleanly. Nice work!

    39. Aric Norine Creator on June 11, 2012

Sam, I'll send you a replacement pack.

      Hi, Aric,

I replied to your messages with pictures, so that should be what you need. FYI, I opened the other 5 bars in the package, and they were all OK, so maybe it was just a fluke. I'll refrain from opening the other 3 packages, as I may give them as gifts, so I'll roll the dice as to whether or not they're all OK. Chances are they're fine, I'm sure. :)

    42. Aric Norine Creator on June 11, 2012

      Hi Sam,

Glad you got the bars and are reporting! Can you please send me a photo of the problem bar if you still have it? I really appreciate your help so we can eliminate any future messups. The future prototypes will be of a new fragrance / color version that $50 backers will vote on. It will probably be a smaller non-Stack shaped bar used simply for evaluation scent, color, or feel. The specs for the soap will be chosen mostly by community feedback through the project survey and through a special survey to the $50 backers.
      Thanks for asking!
      - Aric

Aric, Just wanted to let you know that I received my Stack bars today! I noticed that the first one I opened was missing about a tenth of material on the end, but I imagine there may be some manufacturing bugs to work out.

Can you give some information on how the rest of the backer rewards work?

      The $50 reward states:

"Receive physical prototypes for the next soap type and be able to choose fragrance, color, and formula before it goes into production. Includes 24 bars and your signature on our next package."

What do the physical prototypes look like? What are they made of? And will the fragrance/color/formula choice be a vote/poll on Kickstarter?

I'm using ABF since they're Amazon's partnered carrier. The main reason is that Amazon's warehouses have a big list of requirements for freight companies to perform drop offs and by being the "partnered carrier" ABF is certified to be familiar with Amazon's rulebook.

What company do you use to ship out the pallets? I've been looking to do that myself. Is is through UPS?

    46. Aric Norine Creator on May 16, 2012

Great news! - All the bars are done and will be packaged by this Friday. Our manufacturer will send me samples of the final product before I freight them to Amazon (just to make sure everything's been done properly). I'll follow up with a project update when there's some more defined dates. Thanks!
