Hello Gaia Cafe supporters!
For those of you that had been patrons of the beloved Gaia Cafe, you probably miss that Mean Green burrito or the scrumptious Veggie Hash! Or how about those Gaia cookies?! Mmmm, and I can smell the sweetness of those date bars right now!
Well, I'm here to let you all know that we are bringing it BACK!!!!
That's right, it's been three years too long and Gaia Cafe found a new location in the Creston neighborhood. I know what you're thinking, 'it won't be the same with out being the original space.' And, you're right. The location and the building will not be the same. However, we are prideful in keeping the same 'ol Gaia Cafe esthetics and bringing you all the goodness, love, and charm that the original offered.
We couldn't be more excited to share this news with you, and we hope that you want to help wrangle in that excitement and participate in helping this become a success!
Here is what we are looking for and a breakdown of where those funds will go to make this dream a reality.
At this time, we are asking for $30,000 to guarantee in funding being met on Kickstarter, with the desire to raise much more then that. In total, we are seeking to raise $100,000 to guarantee moving forward and in a quicker time frame.
With this amount, we will be able to transform the building space with an open kitchen, up to code bathrooms, outdoor seating, and proper parking spaces. We will also be creating a 'grab and go' station with a full juice and self serve coffee bar.
Help US have the chance to re-open and serve YOU some of the best vegetarian/vegan dishes that Grand Rapids had to offer!
Please share our story and donate what you can!
Risks and challenges
At this time, we have a pre-approval on a building in the Creston neighborhood. It is small space, but a perfect location and buildout plan that will truly embrace the Gaia esthetic.
With the funds we are asking for, we will be able to put our down payment for our loan, as well as start the buildout that is needed to make the space up to code and capable of seating a breakfast/lunch crowd.
We have very short deadline of January 15th to secure our loan approval and sellers agreement. Without the funding we are seeking, we will loose the opportunity for this location and the possible loss of re-opening Gaia Cafe in a timely matter.
Any help is good help, and we are open to anyone that wants to help in any way they can. Please contact Andrea at firstname.lastname@example.org
