The Kickstarter reached 100% funding! Thank you all so much ♡
Let's keep this train rolling! Every dollar over goal only serves to make the book and rewards BIGGER AND BETTER!
Let's make this book amazing!
My name's Taylor C., and I'm the artist and writer of a comic called Monsterkind!
Monsterkind has been running since Summer of 2012 with bi-weekly updates. In 2015, I ran a Kickstarter to print my first book, and I was so happy, grateful, and incredibly humbled when the project was successfully funded!
Now, over 200 pages later, I'm ready to print Book Two, but I'll need a little help to accomplish that goal!
Monsterkind is a light-hearted story that follows Wallace Foster, a human social worker, on his quest to help the monster inhabitants of District C with their various problems.
Along the way, he meets many bright and colorful characters, gets into some dicey situations, makes friends, and slowly begins to unravel a deep mystery with the help and guidance of his monster counterpart Kip Kaizer.
Monsterkind Book Two will be available in softcover as well as a limited edition hardcover version.
The book is set to be around 256 full-color pages, covering Chapters 2 and 3. It will also include Kickstarter-exclusive bonus material such as extra comics, guest illustrations, and concept art.
The book will also feature some beautiful guest illustrations by a few incredibly wonderful and talented artists:
I am so, so proud and thankful to have such a wonderful group of artists contributing illustrations to my second book! Be sure to check out their work if you haven't already:

Risks and challenges
All of the comic pages are done and the files are already with a designer who's just waiting for any bonus pages I may need to turn over (depending on how the campaign does). The printer has already been chosen and the only major issues I could see are related to unexpected problems or delays getting the books from the printer to the fulfillment warehouse!
I am working with George Rohac of Organized Havoc in the budgeting, proofing, printing, and fulfillment departments. He's connected me to some great partners and keeping an eye on everything as it moves along!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
