PARA is a Pythagorean laser measurer that utilizes two lasers and an angle encoder. This enables users to stay stationary while taking measurements.
Rulers and other laser measurers require users to move to measure. With PARA, you can measure everything from the stationary position. Just point the lasers to each end,what you want to measure and PARA will tell you the distance between the two points.
With existing laser measurers, you have to find a way to stop the laser to measure open spaces. Now with PARA’s bilateral lasers and expandable design, you can measure any length by just pointing. PARA’s bilateral design and pythagorean technology solves the limitations of old measuring tools.
Our interviews with practitioners in various fields have helped verify PARA’s use in action. DIY enthusiasts, interior designers and sound engineers expressed great interest in our product. And we are ready to hear from our backers as well!

The Laser Mode of PARA fully utilizes the two laser modules and the angle encoder. The Pythagorean functions enable users to stay stationary while taking measurements. Users can now point the two lasers and with a press of a button receive the length between the points. Stay where you are and let PARA do the job.
The Target mode within the Laser Mode lets users set a target length. After you set the length start stretching PARA and the beep sound will tell you once you have reached your target length.
With the Wheel mode, you can measure all types of surfaces. Simply roll PARA on the surface you want to measure. The angle encoder keeps track of the rotations and calculates the distance that the wheel traveled. Curved and angled surfaces are no longer the hassle they used to be.
PARA is full of possibilities. There are many ways PARA can be utilized. The tripod mount that we include in our package increases the options of how PARA can be used and makes it more hassle-free and precise.
You can also connect PARA to your smartphone with Bluetooth 4.0. Using a stable connection, measurement data can be safely and instantaneously transferred.
With our application, your smartphone can serve as a link to PARA. You can take a photo of what you have measured. When the data is sent directly to your smartphone, you can draw on the picture to label what you have measured. Keep track of the measurements with photos to help you remember!

Because we realize that your measuring may take place in circumstances related to fieldwork, we specifically designed PARA to be dust-proof. PARA is trustworthy in various measuring situations.
PARA has two holes for laser alignment under the right body. You can make PARA more accurate by following the steps below.
1. Set PARA on any flat surface.
2. Check if the two lasers are parallel to the ground.
3. If not, rotate the Allen wrench clockwise or counterclockwise until the lasers are parallel.
Raised by a father who was an architect, the founder of PARA was naturally involved in numerous DIY projects. As such, he always recognized the need for a better measuring device to reduce time measuring and increase time creating. PARA began as a personal DIY project, and it has been undergoing development ever since. ACXION is a startup that aims to provide solutions to facilitate the design of space. We are a young group of entrepreneurs that truly believe in the power of space. Three of our six team members are co-founders, but we are all DIY enthusiasts that love interior design. Risks and challenges
We currently have a mockup in preparation for mass production, and our prototypes have been rigorously tested by our engineering and manufacturing experts in order to create an optimal final product.
However, we are aware that PARA may face additional changes to meet manufacturing requirements. In addition to keeping our backers up to date, we will make sure any changes during production uphold our mission and meet your interests. We will also keep backers continuously informed of any updates or changes.
We truly believe that we will bring PARA to the masses, and we have networks and resources in hardware engineering, tooling, manufacturing, distribution, and certification to make this happen.
