About this project
WHY WALLET WORKS?
Born out of my wife’s irritation with my bulky wallet, the Wallet Works literally works for you. My really nice leather foldover wallet was filled with only the essentials. Yet, it still bulked up my front pocket (and not in a good way). It even made permanent rectangular marks on my pants. My wife repeatedly begged me to clean out my wallet. Even after purging anything not absolutely essential, including pictures of high school girlfriends, my wallet still felt uncomfortable and looked ridiculous.
WHY THE WALLET WORKS . . .
It is solidly constructed of the same material used for credit cards, and it safely holds all of your essentials, plus cash. The product is twice the thickness of a 30 mil credit card. It's approximately 3.9" long and 2.7" high.
The Wallet Works' signature piece is a sturdy band surrounding the entire wallet which doubles as a convenient and strong spot for your cash. Each wallet comes with one small black band (for minimalists) and one large lime green band (for those who simply can't part with their stuff).
Cards easily slide in and out of the interior compartment, yet the Wallet Works securely and safely prevents your items from slipping out because the front and back pieces are attached at the bottom.
WORK THE WALLET - CUSTOMIZE IT!
The bands can be imprinted and customized with almost anything you wish, and they are available in a variety of appealing colors. Use these customized bands with your black, Wallet Works wallet.
You can also design your own wallet. Customize your wallet with your business card, logo or a photo. The item serves as a personal convenience, but with a great twist: it can be a personal billboard for your business. Every time you remove your wallet to pay for something (which we all know some people do more than others), an imprinted or customized wallet advertises anything you create.
Rather than distribute thousands of cards that are used once, discarded immediately, or even worse, buried inside someone's bulky wallet, turn those cards into an actual Wallet Works wallet. Each time your customer uses his Wallet, he will be reminded of your message. The promotional uses for Wallet Works are endless.
The wallet is a useful corporate giveaway, an effective communication tool, and a personal convenience.
It’s inexpensive, but not cheap. It’s solid, but not inflexible. It’s innovative, and it’s proven. The Wallet Works is made in America. Once you try the Wallet Works, you’ll want to work your way up the "Wallet Works" ladder, and you'll never go back to a standard, foldover, leather wallet again.
For those wondering just how many items the Wallet Works can accommodate, the photos below clearly illustrate the Wallet containing 5 cards and 5 bills to 20 cards and 20 bills. The Wallets with 5 and 10 cards and bills each securely fit with the smaller band or with the larger band for a looser, yet still safe fit. The fuller Wallets work just as safely with the larger band and more tightly with the smaller band. The different sized bands provide safety, while offering sufficient flexibility to easily manage your cards and cash.
Working 8 to $5

The Wallet Works For You
Thank you for your support, we know you’re going to love your new Wallet.
When we first developed our concept of a better wallet, we created prototypes using cardboard and samples of plastic. After we landed on the best design, we contacted numerous manufacturers in the US. We soon found the manufacturer we believed we would work with best. The company is very excited about working with us. I'm in the insurance business, so I always prepare for any contingency. Therefore, we have another manufacturer prepared to fulfill our needs just in case.
The rubber band that holds everything in place is manufactured by Alliance Rubber company in Hot Springs, AR. Since creating the Bandyball 20 years ago, we’ve had a wonderful working relationship with Alliance Rubber that will serve the Wallet Works project just as well.
If the project is funded, we will order the rubber bands from Alliance Rubber and the dies and material from the plastic manufacturer and begin production. The wallets will be assembled in the Chicago area where Michele and I can oversee the quality control.
Risks and challenges
Three months after we started the Bandyball Corporation, with no production facility, no work force and no steady supplier, we received a purchase order for 150,000 Bandyballs. Rather than panic, we found a way to fill the order.
Risks and challenges are an integral part of any project, new or old. Our research and preparation to manufacture and distribute Wallet Works includes lead times that account for error and defects. We have a valued and long-term relationship with our rubber band supplier, Alliance Rubber Company, and we have diligently researched the suppliers for the other materials for the Wallet Works.
We will provide backers with updates on manufacturing, progress and setbacks. No production process is flawless; however, our experiences to date qualifies us to handle any mishap that may come our way. Without perseverance and dedication, we would never have produced and delivered those first 150,000 Bandyballs. Our backers can count on that same commitment from the Wallet Works team.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
