What is Purrista Pawfee?
Purrista Pawfee combines coffee culture (drinks and food) and cats cause who doesn't love coffee and cats? These fun felines will be made into huggable plush form.
The Main Event:
All plush will be manufactured by Shinedown Productions, the same company I used for the Punny Buns project in 2015. They are known for helping small, independent artists' creations to life in quality plush form. Each plush will be of super soft minky with professionally embroidered features.
The goal of $9,000 will cover:
- Production and shipping costs for the plush
- Backer rewards, shipping materials and associated postage
- Taxes, and the 10% combined fee taken out by Kickstarter and Stripe (the company processing payments).
This Kickstarter features fun, feline themed rewards for backers. Some of them are exclusive to this project so don't miss out! Once the project closes, they will be gone forever!
Once Catpuccino is fully funded, we'll start to work on unlocking the rest of the Purrista Pawfee cats in the order listed below:
Note on Rewards:
Backers at multiple plush levels will be able to select the plush they want from all unlocked, fully funded plush at the end of the campaign. Choices will be collected via the Kickstarter survey that will be sent out.
Can't decide what level to back at? Does one level have something you like, but another has the plush you want? Meet the Add-On Shop! Exclusive to backers, this shop will allow you to add additional items to your pledge level.
- Add-on shop items are for backers only. Details in Update #5.
- Just adjust your pledge to add the extra item's cost.
- Add-on shop will close at the end of the Kickstarter on January 25, 2016.
- Backers will indicate items added in the final survey sent out after the project closes.
There are several factors leading to the August delivery date. When the Kickstarter closes, it will be Chinese New Year, a time the factories close for a month to celebrate. I'm hoping to get plush in time for CatCon LA in June, but it is going to be very tight, timeline-wise. The August date also allows time for me to make sure everyone's packages are right and for me to ship in waves while also balancing my full time job and the summer convention season. I will not be selling actual Purrista Pawfee plush at conventions until all backer packages are in the mail.
I will keep everyone updated through the Kickstarter project if things are going to arrive earlier.
Risks and challenges
I already have two successfully funded Kickstarter projects - Sweet Dreams Strawberries - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1616607554/sweet-dreams-cute-plush-strawberry and the Punny Buns https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1616607554/punny-buns-cute-plush-bunny-puns/description that I've gained a lot of experience from. Many fulfillment processes are in place for smooth shipping of backer rewards.
Shinedown Productions is a well-established company for manufacturing plushies. However, like any collaborative project, production delays with the factory or shipping delays may occur, especially for overseas manufacturing. If these should happen, I will notify all backers through updates here and by email.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
