Unfortunately, there was really no way around it. Tortie is one of our largest plush to date and so that bulky package means that shipping rates go up. I tried to get the cost as low as possible, but until they invent a way to just beam things up instantly, I'm stuck with USPS.
Actually, they are about the same price (just off a few cents to make pledge add-on math easier for us all). The price you see in Storenvy is just the price for the plush. The cost of shipping gets added on later when you go to check out. The prices shown here already have the additional shipping accounted for.
It will be put into the business account to give another plush a head start. Rest assured, all funds in this project will be used for product production. If we're just off by a tiny amount - i.e. we just run out of time like happened with Biskitti in the previous one, I'll open pre-orders to get the rest that's needed and then order that plush that wasn't quite done.
Every little bit helps! We have lower priced tiers for those who want to be a contributing part of helping my little business grow, but can't do a full plush at this time. Even pledging just a dollar helps move us forward. It also means you can access the add-on shop and adjust your pledge if you want to something that fits your budget better.
Nope! Once backer packages are sent out, we will be adding the rest of the stock to the Storenvy site and our convention inventory. So if you can't get one right now, you may be able to catch us at a con near you. Keep in mind though, that all plush in here require FULL FUNDING to go into production!
As Kickstarter takes 15 days to release funds, production takes a month and shipping to me will take about another month, we'll be too close to guarantee delivery to backer in time for Christmas. Unless you're ok with giving late presents, I wouldn't count on these for gift giving during the holidays.
